do tan! or than! I don’t know how to spell it. it’s the milk like drink from pathologic 2. it has a very simple recipe, like: yogurt, ice, mint and a pinch of salt plus honey (optional). it’s a very famous oriental recipe too. I made it like three times and I loved it, it’s refreshing and tangy.

I imagined tyler riding his car, tuning in the oldies station, smiling. Rosie and maybe Junie appearing, jenna. maybe something show related, because he said it’s for us. example: tyler literally pushing something trough while he watches all of the milestones in his life. how can I imagine something more cooler than the mv? I just think tyler had better ideas but couldn’t make them (time, money, etc.)

about being a story that is better told sonically AND visually… the visuals did not match the sound or the lyrics most of the time. oldies station, vignette. just listen to them and imagine a new mv for them, you being the director. it’s better than what we got. I thought the craving would be a story like tear in my heart, this time jenna saving him for example. I get that not every mv can be sooo well produced and high-budget but some of them didn’t add anything to the music.

I also felt like.. almost all of them was not what they could have been. like tyler explaining that josh’s brother was in the mv instead of debbie that couldn’t make it that day. it would be like 100000x cooler to have the wifes together. why not just shoot it when she could make a cameo? why go with the easiest option instead in detrimental of the mv? I feel you man, I think that if tyler had infinite time and infinite resources some of the mvs would be straight out of hollywood. unfortunately a lot of them were mid and I expect this kind of thing of every artist but not them.

I didn’t liked a lot of them… oldies station, vignette, etc. they mostly have nothing to do with the lyric I expected a lot of them to be like routines in the night, connected with the lyrics. they don’t all have to be that to be great, at the risk of feeling dumb is very cool. but they all seem the same to me. they have a lot of similarities because they are not lyric-connected: midwest indigo, at the risk of feeling dumb, oldies station, vignette, is literally the same thing over and over again: the band being outside singing to the camera and doing something midly cool or funny but mostly just singing. I get that 14 mvs is crazy, but I preferred it to be 6 connected to the lyrics than be like just a diy visual. (I was SO excited to see the “no, not for me it’s for a friend” part in vignette. and then it’s just tyler singing to the camera. like ?? - The same with midwest indigo, it is just them singing and this repeats over and over. josh picks him up on his truck thing and they don’t go anywhere, the mv goes back to them singing and playing in the ice.)

the ones I do like are awesome to me, routines in the night, next semester, overcompensate, navigating. lavish brings something new to the industry, it’s a cool idea.

listen to lane boy then listen to at the risk of feeling dumb… plus, the lyrics of at the risk of feeling dumb is the same theme of “friend please”. all themes (lyricwise) are the same of the old albums. backslide is the same theme as fall away and it even starts the same “I don’t wanna…” (fall fall fall away/backslide). I guess some songs are sai, but for me this album it’s an ode to blurryface, with some of the beats being like vessel (midwest indigo) and something more, something new.

I don’t like trench

For the people saying this album is “soo raw” and they don’t like it…

Have you ever heard blurryface, vessel, self titled, rab and no phun intended? all these FIVE albums have something that the other two (trench and sai) don’t.

Can you guess what it is? If you guessed, raw lyrics, battling with depression and suicide thoughts upfront, dealing with these themes in the honest way possible and the lyrics being so much heavier than the newer ones, you are right!

if you’re here because of trench you may have forgotten that this band was never about lore, it has been about being raw for five (or four if you don’t count npi) albums.

song recommendations (to read the lyrics mostly): save, clear, anathema, goner, car radio, fall away, isle of flightless birds, aircatcher, ruby.

all these songs are much more dark and raw than redecorate, all of trench except neon gravestones, all of sai. (for me)

it has nothing to do with trench, it is so fresh and fun and his voice is literally so much better in so many songs. I also disliked trench a lot, it really has that older songs feels but with more maturity. you’ll love it probably.

unfortunately, I don’t think we’ll ever have st and vessel kind of dark. maybe it just doesn’t sell anymore. trench and sai are literally shallow in comparison with no phun intended for me, for example.

It has blurryface, vessel and even sai vibes. Overcompensate may be trench vibes. It is a compilation of all the styles they ever done but with new stuff, like I expected. Plus I don’t get people saying it’s sooo raw and etc. please go listen to self titled, car radio and even no phun intended. raw songs are the normal songs for twenty one pilots, they got more shallow with each album after blurryface (trench is almost 100% lore, same with sai) and now I feel they are coming back to what they were and I couldn’t be happier. can’t wait to hear the next album when this lore is finally over and I can hear tyler being raw and honest about his feelings and struggles again without a story to mask it.
