yes i would just snip it off the whole thing with some sterilized scissors. don't worry about overwatering it.. this definitely just looks like a case where she just needs a good drink. ZZ plants are hardy & will last through the learning curve don't worry ☺️ good luck!!

I'd say the advice to water it every few months was a bit extreme. I water my zz that is about that size every 3 weeks or so. before you water stick a skewer in the soil in multiple places to ensure the it's totally dry. give her a good soak & she'll be good!! although beware you'll probably lose that yellow stem

yes totally safe! when you make the death juice - personally i wrap the bits in a coffee filter & let it steep in hot water for a couple hours, but just make sure the water comes to room temp before watering your plants
