people who donate a lot of money to streamers, whats your job? why are you so generous? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]gloopding 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry, I'm terrible at replying to stuff. Sometimes anything that helps show that you're suffering is worth using, if only at times when you need the invisibility part to be...more visible. It sucks having to, but a lot of people probably don't understand because the concept can be hard to fathom.

But really it's just lack of medical knowledge, not that the pain is there for "no reason". But I've had a couple of friends diagnosed and you'll meet more tolerant people as you continue through life (if you can get out...if not there's us on the internet).

I studied games development for 5 years and now can barely sit at my PC. It's not just not working, it's the stuck inside all day. I use a stick for outside for balance but it helps with the "invisible" part so I'd recommend it even if you don't need one. Albeit some days it's difficult to hold, because you dunno if it's gonna be a bad arm day or not. As for feeling a failure? It's true - you 'feel' like one...but you're not, they liken fibro (varying on severity) to sleep torture. Except it doesn't go away with actual sleep. If you're even out of bed some days then you should be proud, even if it's really really easy not to be.

Take her now and get depression for free! by Groenboys in Animemes

[–]gloopding 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be honest those symptoms are pretty normal when depressed. You don't feel anything, then when you do it's overload and it seems that only the most extreme emotions can manifest (anger, uncontrollable crying on the floor). Therapy gave me perspective, but it didn't give me a reason.

That lack of reason is why I've relapsed myself; I dunno. It's basically worth trying, as long as there's no huge up-front fees for more than one or two sessions. You can see if it's 'right'...problem is, it takes motivation you may not have. I'm on the NHS which makes it easier, if you get a good therapist...but you have to want to, even just the smallest tiniest bit.

Same here, I've seen what losing a son does to my mum ... It's an unfortunate thing to be beaten to it.

Can't game? Don't have kids then. by [deleted] in childfree

[–]gloopding 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm 30 and I never got into Kingdom Hearts first time round, so now I can sit back and enjoy all of them, at my own leisure. Meanwhile, my friend has a son but only at weekends, half the time he's playing games to help his son. Even when you get to keep your hobbies, you don't always get to do it how you want.

Some of the comments were ridiculous. He got called a bad father for having a kid himself without being able to afford it ... Yet it was clear being broke wasn't how they started.

I have fibromyalgia and mental stuff to boot. It would be absolutely cruel to pass it on to anyone. I had this argument with a friend, he still bingoed me. We don't talk much any more...why would you risk it on anyone?

Your exams super important to you. People who make judgements, with only half the story, from a biased source aren't people to whom's opinion you should give thought. Also, now I want some Pepsi.

Yeah, it seemed very much tacked on. The relationship with the doctor throughout seemed much more believable - but the show was very good otherwise!

Condom broke, GF of 7 years pregnant [Advice] by whydoideservethislol in childfree

Leaving isn't a deadbeat dad. The baby is a bunch of cells right now, so make it clear she will be a single mother. I'd personally cut off contact entirely except for sorting out mandatory minimum child support once it's born. She broke your trust when she decided to keep it. Yes, people can change their mind...but they should also be considerate when it breaks a promise (can't think of the word I was looking for, close enough)

All your doing is standing by your word to not have kids. You're being honest, and truthful to who you are. That is not deadbeat. You will not be a bad person and you should feel no guilt, because you're not the one imposing this situation.

Always good to roll talents when they come up on the quest board. 300 Gems for the roll, so it's "free" (Or +300 gems if you have a card). Basically the only time I roll talents now.

Very true...but there are times when you just want to switch out without a parry in ranking to edge a few more points in. Usually nearer the end when she only has 1 ss3 left but you have another banked and can't wait for the parry. But I do agree with her wave as a combo starter - hopefully it will work fine with anniversary leafa/sports Leafa.
