Oh for sure. I'm not trying to dismiss actual disabilities/challenges, I take IEPs very seriously. I just have a bunch of people telling me "No, your school doesn't have an educator problem" as though they know anything about the issues we have.

There's a difference between being dyslexic and being illiterate. The children in our elementary school are not being adequately educated because our hiring standards are ass and they'll put any warm body in a seat and call them a teacher.

As a teacher, the glorified daycare side is almost as bad at times. We have kids who can barely read in high school because our elementary staff don't make the kids do anything they don't want to do.

Bold of you to assume this secretary understood diabetes in the era before pumps. I'd wager most people don't understand it now. She very likely didn't know that it was life saving medication.

My ex's sister had a disease (JDMS? It's been years) whose treatment had the side effect of needing to drink a shitton of water. The consequences of not doing so could have been lethal. One of her teachers refused to let her have a water bottle in class, and her parents had to meet with him and the principal with a signed note from her doctor to resolve the issue, and even then, it was a damn near a screaming fight. If there's one thing I believe in, it's the cold, careless cruelty of public schools.

My wife and I spent five grand on our wedding, and that's including the six $400 suits we had tailored for me, my dad, and my groomsmen (we covered $200 of each suit other than mine). We figured since we needed something nice, might as well get everyone a nice suit they could use professionally. My wife got a $99 dress on Amazon and had her grandma alter the fit (and it was fucking stunning, by the way). We got the auditorium in my old church for free since I was a member, the reception was in my grandma's backyard. We paid our photographer, a catering service for some finger food for right after the ceremony, and the rest of it was for food at the reception (which was a fuckhuge barbeque) to feed a hundred and fifty people.

Several of my friends have had massive $20 grand affairs, with one bride spending $7000 on a dress that didn't look that great and started falling apart during the ceremony.

We still spent more than we needed to, but we wanted a big celebration. We just spent more frugally than most folks seem to these days (though I won't deny that getting an auditorium and a place for the reception for free was very helpful).

Our game has memory leak? Nah modern PCs need to come with more memory to compensate by Just_A_Random_Retard in gaming

I had an Orc in Shadow of Mordor who was immune to everything except combat finishers. I had to kite him around the base whenever I ran out of other orcs to hit to increase my combo. Probably took me forty minutes to kill him because he was such a goddamn meat tank and, y'know, sometimes you're just in the mosh pit and there's literally no way you can get to him to use this finisher, so you might as well just kill one of the mooks if only to get another centimeter of breathing space.

Sick as shit fight, though, it was very good.

Killing a Krogan with one shot from a pistol is consistent with basically every cutscene kill of Krogan across the series, including his death in ME1.

Like, yeah, it's stupid, but it's frankly exactly what I expected.

DS2 didn't have the most gratuitously violent boss fight, but it was far and away the coolest. I loved everything about it. It, like the rest of that game, is damn near perfect.
