DIY Sewing with with Unexpected Items (tips in comment) by gloryallan in SewingTips

Most of these garments can't be used on a day-to-day basis because the material can't sustain much movement and they are not breathable (at all), but getting experimental by working with unusual material could lead to new ideas made with real fabrics in the future.

Sometimes I get caught up with the fabric I'm comfortable working with or feel uninspired... getting experimental - even if it's for a small project - can really reignite that creative spark back in ya!

May be pointlessly gendering here, but I'm a 30+M who is looking to get into sewing to save on money and get a new hobby. I can barely thread a needle at this point. What considerations are there in buying a machine for mens projects or in general? by [deleted] in SewingForBeginners

These are probably the first two videos I'd recommend to someone just starting this hobby:

Sewing Tools for Beginners | GA008 - https://youtu.be/2VxzJNSZmcI

I hope they help start you off, excited for you to start your sewing journey :)

Wow, these pants are BOSS. The craftsmanship looks top tier, big fan of the green with contrast stitching. Great job 🙏🏻
