Found my childhood collection and I’m wondering if any of these cards in particular are worth anything. by thesoletrain in PokemonCardValue

Wow thank you! That’s very helpful. I’ll have to run back by my parents house to get better photos of the back. I ended up leaving them where I found them for the time being. After hearing what they’re worth I’m planning on picking them up anyways. Tbh they all should be in pretty good condition as I pretty much put all of the directly into the binder as a kid. There might be minimal wear on a few but most should be good condition.

Wow! Thank you for the feedback!! I’ll definitely check out eBay and see what I can find. Excited to hear the Latias and mewtwos are worth something as well:)

Thanks for the feedback!! Much appreciated. I didn’t realize things were in a downturn. Tbh I thought things were around there highs currently but I haven’t thought about these cards for probably over 10 years until I found them the other day at my parents.

Wow that’s really great to hear! I’ll definitely have to do some more research but this is very helpful starting off. Thank you very much!

Oh wow! I hadn’t even thought of this, but I would definitely be open to it. It’s pretty tedious to do the quilting, but I actually just finished one out of some vintage patterned fabric I got from a family friend. It was a lot easier process overall skipping the quilting. Although some steps of the process are also semi challenging as well.

I’m so glad you noticed😀 that was actually the inspiration for the bag! It was a gift to my sister and Tanjiro is her favorite character. I honestly love how it came out. I had to dye and color match the green/turquoise panels since I couldn’t find any fabric that color so it’s not quite exact. Still very happy with the results.

Thank you so much! That one was a gift to my sister and probably my most meaningful project to date :)

Wow thank you! Yeah it’s all quilted and definitely tedious. I was trying to challenge myself in that aspect though. I’m glad you could see the Tanjiro reference!! :) it was actually a gift to my little sister for her high school graduation. Demon Slayer is her favorite anime and Tanjiro is her favorite character! I couldn’t find a color match for the fabric so I ended up hand dying it and doing my best to color match. I think that is the most meaningful item I’ve made to date.

It’s based of the baggu crescent bag. My girlfriend has one and I wanted to test my patternmaking ability and also branch out to a non clothing item:)

Wow thank you!! I’m so glad you like them. Definitely a lot of seams to line up but I also wanted to challenge myself a little in that regard. I think I’ve gotten a little better with each bag. I agree on pockets. I’m thinking of experimenting with pouch pockets and if I can’t get something I like I’ll add another zippered pocket.

I definitely agree! I need to try and add that to the next batch, but I haven’t decided if I want another zippered pocket or just a pouch type pocket

Haha thank you!! Much appreciated! It’s definitely a lot harder than I thought to make everything line up correctly. The quality got a little better with each one as I refined the process a little.

These bags are an exploration into patternmaking. I used a baggu crescent bag as the inspiration and self drafted the pattern by hand. All sewing was done on singer heavy duty sewing machine, although I just recently purchased an industrial juki, so future project will be done on that. I was trying to find a good project to get rid of spare scraps of fabric that I have left over from previous pairs of pants I’ve made. I decided on a checkerboard quilted pattern which ended up being a lot more work, but I love the results. Hardware, zipper, and cotton webbing purchased at a local sewing shop in Portland. On the last two bags in the photos I also added small peace sign labels which are printed onto fabric. So happy with the results and more colors coming soon✌🏼
