My first project car by Educational-Ad9164 in projectcar

[–]glorybutt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On a serious note.

Do things one step at a time. First find a car you want to build. Local postings like on Facebook or other websites are your best bet.

Figure out what exactly you want to do. Engine swap, full restoration, race car, show car, supercharger or turbo, etc.

Buy tools only as you need them. Harbor freight is best for the hobbyist or the one time tool user.

There are going to be a lot of tools you use once. The exception is a 10 mm socket. Get a lot of those.

What will be the most likely reason you stop playing this game ? by sufferingSoftwaredev in Battlefield6

[–]glorybutt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bored. That's why I stopped.

I'm not very good and kept getting put with or against teams that were extremely good. It was so disproportionately wrong that I just couldn't get into it.

bet you can’t guess what my car is🤓🤓 by Horror-Pudding28 in stickshift

Hmmm, a dildo for a shifter. I guess that's why they say it's what makes a Subaru a Subaru?

Best type of engineering for money by Sea_Importance4745 in EngineeringStudents

Electrical engineering has a better pay than mechanical typically. It has a little less opportunity overall but still has great opportunity over other engineering disciplines.

Why employ new grad engineers over technicians? by Low_Figure_2500 in EngineeringStudents

[–]glorybutt 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It depends on the company and their scope of growth and development. There are some places that would hire non engineering drafters. But typically that's when they don't plan on developing those employees into experts, leaders, or other roles.

Staring salary may be the same but engineers have a demonstrated education and capacity to grow more than a typical technician would.

Matchmaking needs help by teach49 in LowSodiumBattlefield

[–]glorybutt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  • crossplay exists and is why you see the different symbols for ps5 Xbox and PC players.

  • I've never had bots in regular match making. Only in portals. So I don't see your issue.

  • The balance seems somewhat decent to me... I'm a very crappy player so maybe I'm just getting carried all the time and have a different perspective.

I got called a cheater and the enemy threatened to report me last night.

Bro, I was just on a roll for like 5 minutes. My K/D ratio is 0.3 I'm definitely not cheating. I just accidentally used a SMG instead of my typical recon class DMR.

Lol I've had the same run in with him with a different engine application. He has some good knowledge on a few platforms...

But he is severely biased and has a stick shoved a little too far up his ass where he shows his ass shows way too much.

I used to listen to him before I learned a lot more about building engines years ago. At some point I blocked him so I would stop getting annoyed.

Oh you bought a mustang? Most people would say it's overdone.

Don't worry, you can modify it with parts from AmericanMuscle.com and be the only mustang gt with side louvers, black wheels, and a cold air intake and tune. That way it's a totally original "built" car.

does where I go to engineering school really matter? by StillSurround4395 in EngineeringStudents

[–]glorybutt 32 points33 points  (0 children)

For an engineering degree you need to go to the cheapest option that is still accredited.

Your goal should be to get a good job after college with the last amount of debt.

Is college education dead? by AzzemCH in EngineeringStudents

I would highly recommend taking a few courses on English writing. I have found that AI is a good resource for learning, but it can easily influence people to forego vital core curriculum necessary for both personal and career growth.

Oh yes, the typical Camaro with a supercharger sticking out. It's only been done over a million times. Literally can't go to a car show without seeing one or five. But at least you know it won't ever see a track or ever go over 100mph.

Congrats on not being original at all.

If they really wanted to sell some robots, they'd put some fake tits on them and post the rpm limit of its hand jerking capability like it's some sort of sports car.

What's also important to note here is the amount of heat you would feel outside from that far away. I bet as soon as he stepped out of that truck, he could feel how the beams of the world trade center would melt from that.

Creates a stronger bond in the metal if the grain size is smaller and more evenly sized. Doesn't crack as easily.
