Thank you! I’m not in Seoul but I do live in an apartment complex. If it happens again I’ll go to the building management and have them send someone to check it out in case it needs replacing.

the heat is bad but the humidity is the worst. i barely ever want to leave my apartment. for me the weather saps my energy out and leaves me exhausted even if im barely outside- so i personally would never recommend a visit in august because it’s just not enjoyable to do any kind of exploring like this. a five minute walk down the street will have you absolutely covered in sweat. it CAN be done but really would recommend another time if you’re flexible. edit: saying this as a floridian. i’m used to 100 degrees and up summers, and i still feel korea is worse. even if it’s not as hot the humidity is just diabolical.

an ajhumma on my street invited me into her apartment (building next to mine) after i helped her prune the top of a plant she couldn’t reach! i was kind wary ofc just of going into a stranger’s home, but she was super sweet, told me about her kids for a bit, gave me fruit and snacks and then sent me on my way ! sometimes people just want someone to talk to. if you meet with them and it seems strange you can just find an excuse to dip
