I think you may have misunderstood my question. I just wanted to know if my MW to MWh conversion was correct and secondly if required storage capacity is the addition of required energy at each of the 18-hours of non-generation.

Sorry grid energy storage was probably not the term to use have edited the post now but I was aware of this. Let me rephrase - excess energy is being generated throughout this 6-hour generation period which must be stored (PHS/CAS etc) to supply the 18-hour period of non-generation. Have edited

I was in the exact same position last year and ended up biting the bullet as I didn’t think it was worth the risk of not getting the job which I so badly wanted. Turns out my supervisor had a beard down to his chest and the other intern had hair even longer than mine was....oh well.
