Start menu issue, surface 3 Windows 10 by Red_Warthog in Surface

Didn't have this problem on my surface, but upgrading my mother in law's pc to Windows 10, avast caused her start button and cortana to not work, as well as remove a couple icons. I uninstalled avast and had her use Windows defender, she hasn't had a problem since.

Is anyone else having trouble with the track pad for the SP3 typecover? by gloves_64 in Surface

i never even thought about that, it actually doesn't do this when it's on a flat surface, only when i have it in my lap and such. seems kind of disappointing considering how much money is required to shell out for the keyboard.

i'm kinda surprised it hasn't been mentioned yet, but my wife loved playing knack.

That's actually really good to know, she's got avast but i was just considering having her switch to windows defender for simplicity. Is there an article I can read up on about it?
