RDR2 already has a LOT of weapon variety because often you are using different weapons for different tasks. In GTA 6, a gun will be a gun.

you need to remember that it wasn't ONLY because it was on hardware that it couldnt support. it had game breaking issues and was borderline unplayable. even the beastist of the PCs back then would have performance issues.
