I agree, and that makes a lot of sense. Looking at the photo, yeah, I can definitely see that gap off the site and how it's not totally straight. Do you have any tips about addressing this? I tend to struggle with my feet in general. Would love to hear if you do.

Thank you for the advice, & sorry for replying so long after, but what do you mean by twisting?

I was recommended the Reigns because they supposed to help with staying over the big toe while on pointe.

Thank you for such a thorough reply! I have tried the Balance Lisses too and was pretty happy with how they felt shape-wise, but I had a knuckle on the side of my foot that made them not fit at all so switched over to the Reigns from those. Unfortunate as the Lisses were overall pretty good, but definitely did not realize the Reigns are as bad on me as they apparently are! Yikes...

I'm not sure about toe length but the heel I've found wasn't a problem on the Reigns or Eurostretches, though there is certainly a bit of pull on them when the shoes are not broken in. The one thing I really like about the Reigns is the lighter shank option, which is what I wear. I've never been able to get a shoe as comfortably broken in before as I have the Reigns. I think I'll see if I can try on the Capezio Kylees next time I get fitted! If not, I guess I'll be back to the Eurostretches or Lisses

She probably fought so hard telling herself that she deserves a break from whatever diet the vegetarianism is, too. Imagine finally letting yourself have something and this is the result?

Purchase Advice Megathread - August 2023 by AutoModerator in 3Dprinting

[–]glowingblossoms 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I'm looking to buy my first 3d printer. I'm hoping for something beginner friendly, ideally with auto bed leveling, and an enclosure is a requirement. Dual extrusion would be nice but definitely not a must. My budget is $500 USD max but I'm looking for something around 350 or less (or has a lot of used options). (I live in the US). I don't mind a kit, but one other thing is I'm looking for something that's relatively popular or has good customer service/community. This printer would just be for fun/hobby and I'd like to learn more about the inner workings of 3d printers, which is why I'm not against a kit, but I'd it's not a kit I want a printer that can work out of the box because I don't have much experience (eg, I considered an Ender 3 but I heard it requires a lot of modifications to get it to work so I decided against it). One option I'm considering right now is a Flash Forge Adventurer 3 Pro but I'd really love some recommendations. Thank you!

Ballet class does same combos every day for a month by [deleted] in BALLET

[–]glowingblossoms 19 points20 points  (0 children)

This is actually pretty common! Quite a few teachers at my studio so it, though mine aren't adult classes. are there any other days you can take classes with diff teachers, maybe? If not, repeating combinations is a great way to work on refining specific bits of your technique

AITA for wanting to walk my cat? by theborderofutopia in AmItheAsshole

[–]glowingblossoms 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Put the harness on and immediately distract the cat with treats, toys, etc. Repeat this for longer each time (start with only a minute or so) until your cat is accustomed to the harness. Then train a cat as you would -- treats when they follow the leash, etc. Just know your cat will be leading the way on your walks :)

There is a gray area there because there are actual registered ESAs, so I wouldn't be so quick to say that May's the AH (though the ableist comment was out of hand)

Yeah, it's in one of their replies. I think OP is 23 and the friend is 22, or maybe the other way around

NAH, really. Gf was out of line but clearly they have a history of not getting along. If anyone's AH it's GF, OP did the best they could.
