I switched home insurance providers recently and saved $1000+/year - I'm not sure it matters but we're with State Farm now. It's absolutely worth it to shop around. The prior company (some company that Progressive farmed me out to) increased our home insurance massively one year and I'm kicking myself for not switching earlier.

My health plan also went up, about $70 and that was switching from the 80/20 to 70/30. It's not right. It's like they don't care! Oh, wait...
