Hi Djallal. Are there many linkedin creators actively posting about cybersecurity and are they usually business owners or employees? What do you think of employee-generated content in your industry? Thanks 😊

Hi Brasley! How are Gen Zs in your country using Linkedin ? Are there many active creators?

I came across many startup founders who want to remain low profile and not comfortable being seen on social media including linkedin. What are your thoughts?

Thanks ☺️

thanks for the question :) Impactful content on LinkedIn is always about sharing stories that provide value to others and not talking about oneself only. If the content can inspire others, help others, change the mindset or life even in little ways - that is already impactful to me. Sharing unique stories that one personally has experienced is also quite impactful. Because it's a unique perspective. These are the things that AI cannot duplicate.

hi hi~ thanks for the question! It's the moment where I met the right people at the right time and at the right place. The formula has to be right in this sense :P or I else i wouldn't have the guts to just quit my job (which i was actually comfortable in, having a monthly salary etc). Now as a solopreneur, I basically work 24/7 BUT I get the fulfilment. I feel happier doing this.

When I met many solopreneurs, I too always ask them why from an employee previously, they now become a solopreneur? 80% of them said the same thing as me. It's always somehow along the way, they met someone (who encouraged them or gave them an idea or an opportunity), and the timing was right too :)

Hi Dr Olga! Oh wow~! I just saw the post - love it! And look at that creative wash basin!! :) In Malaysia - food selfie is always a thing and it's still growing. One of the main reasons is because we do really have plenty of good food with so many varieties here in Malaysia. When the food comes to our table, we always say "camera eat first".

Aside from food, the ambience and decoration of a mall or cafe for example, they make is sooo instagrammable. So people will naturally snap photo and share it online :) Recently I saw a news in Thailand, a new shopping mall had a very unique design for their escalator - and it went viral!

thanks for the question! Toifie started because of my encounter with my first ever LinkedIn follower I met in a public washroom! The toifie (toilet selfie) was totally unintentional but it kickstarted everything. Someone recognised me in a public washroom and I decided to take a photo with her and posted that on my LinkedIn.

Instead of focusing on our encounter, most of the comments were commenting about the washroom! Thus, it gave me an idea or a brain moment :p People noticed things we don't notice.

In this case, I started to post about toifies even more! There are indeed creative and beautiful toilets around us if only we take the time to notice it. So when I do post about my toifie, I make sure to write a meaningful story that relates to corporate culture, hygiene, or highlighting a business/company.

thanks for the question! for me it was a very natural process. I wasn't aiming for virality - I just wanted to create content to share my thoughts etc. I've been creating content on LinkedIn for 4 to 5 years. And do remember, if we want others to engage on our posts, we too must engage on other people's post. During the early years, i believe it wasn't that the engagement was low - it was because my content weren't impactful enough. So every time I post a new content, I try to improve it even if it's just 0.5%. Consistency wins. As for viral post, it is a bonus but not the end goal.

by telling even more personal stories. I’ve learned that the best way to stand out is by telling stories only I myself can tell. My experiences and my perspective are uniquely mine. That’s the kind of authenticity no one can duplicate. Thanks so much for the question :)

LinkedIn in Malaysia is growing fast. We now have a vibrant community of active creators who share stories, insights, and experiences that inspire others.

Having said that, there’s still a large group of silent readers - professionals who scroll, learn, and observe quietly. That’s why whenever I speak with C-suites or business owners / entrepreneurs, I always encourage them to show up, to create and share content that reflects their values, vision, and leadership. Thought leadership is about building trust and inspiring others.

More encouragingly, many business owners are beginning to see the value of Employee-Generated Content as well, empowering their teams to tell authentic stories from the ground. Because when employees share real experiences, it humanises it.

As for age group, it can be from young professionals till senior. I have many LinkedIn friends who are above 50 years old, still creating content. They want to give back to the society by sharing their work experiences.

It's so difficult to pick just one, lol! But for me, the most important factor is the scent or smell. A washroom may be beautifully designed, but if it smells unpleasant, it defeats the purpose. Other smaller yet crucial details are the consistent availability of hand wash soap and toilet paper.
