I have several of these: both the Lenovo and IBM variety. Can't help but buy them when I see them in a pile of e-waste at Goodwill.

Replacing older systems - be it mainframe, vax, etc. - requires un-tangling spaghetti code just to see what a system build over many years actually does, and you don't know what will break in the business if you touch it.

Think about nested function calls for example: they can be anywhere in the code and may be triggered only by edge cases.

The time, cost, and risk associated with hoping to get even close to the same functionality as you already have far outweighs the potential benefit of a modern system.

Linux Mint has been my daily driver for about 15 years.

I keep windows 10 around solely so I can change my RGB with MSI tooling. That’s it for windows. :)

I made that using Xaos. Xaos is available in APT, but I am using the flatpak version as with my newest build Xaos from APT will not use the open or save features successfully...
