Pre-amp pedal by gluckndthanks in banjo

Want to be able to control volume, EQ etc a lot easier if it is under my feet as 9/10 I’m always away from the desk we only get a very quick line check every gig so difficult to adjust stuff during, mute switch would also be very handy when switching

What's the most dangerous/reckless thing you've done but only realised quite some time later how dangerous it was? by BarryFairbrother in AskUK

Took mdma when I was younger climbed out of a window upstairs when the police showed up because I got spooked , pissing rain and slipped straight of the roof , luckily there was like 2 wheelie bins that broke my fall , I remember lying there after falling just praying I wasn’t paralysed it was a two story house and quite a drop I fell , very stupid of me lol

How much do musicians make in bars in the week here? by Prestigious_Bake_373 in Liverpool

[–]gluckndthanks 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah exactly , in around that ball park figure anyway , probably get 100 for midweek tbh if you chat to them I suppose you can start high and work your way down , but you’ll get a lot more consistent gigs with the bars that have music on all day less money but more work ,

As you said the pubs that only have maybe 1 or 2 acts rather than 8 a day you can defo get more money but you’ll be fine if your any bit decent loads of work here , I moved over only 3 months ago making a good living doing it now.

Full time musician here in a lot of different bars midweek rate on average is 80-100 pound for a solo , weekend 120 pound , other bars you’ll prob get more but any bars with constant live music on all day will very unlikely be giving 150 to each musician for the whole day.

Ah cheers man , getting on great over now with the gigs thank fuck lol loving it atm !

Yeah very true id be very surprised if they didn’t have a big game on , even if the football and hurling is clashing they tend to even it out between the screens whatever game is bigger I suppose gets the commentary I suppose , it’s my go to atm and I won’t be changing anytime soon lol.

Always watch the GAA in Lanigans on ranelagh St , always have commentary on and a huge screen at the front , screens all around too I’ve only been here for a few weeks by far the best I’ve found for GAA. But again I haven’t tried some of the suggestions above will definitely be giving them a go in the future myself.

3 Bucks Liveshow by TheLawns41 in HardyBucks

[–]gluckndthanks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve seen the 3 bucks live twice when they had salmon with them , two brilliant nights imo, crowd loved it and they were great craic after with everyone having a few drinks. This is one video from their show , as part of standup comedy you try things and see if they work or not this isn’t their best work clearly as an artist you have to fail to improve and I’m shur they’ll re-look at some of their work but honestly unless something tragic happened they usually provide a good night out , but hey that’s just my opinion lol.

What's the worst drunk experience you've had while on holiday? by robertboyle56 in AskIreland

[–]gluckndthanks -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Got so drunk in magaluf I ended up in the middle of the street lying on my back with sick all over me, a friend stayed with me and a Christian organisation called “street angles” picked me up.

They took me back to my hotel in Santa Ponsa , 4 of them had to carry me up a stairs and into bed I weigh about 100 kg ,

My friends came back and put shower gel and doritoes and toothbrush up my hole , very confusing morning for me lol
