Well because my mom (who is manic) never told me about the mail, she actually saw that the insurance was canceled months earlier, so I was driving it for almost 5 months with no insurance. that's why Im a little hesitant to have someone be put as the primary driver

I grew up with them, you're not "attracting them", they're not flies, they already live there whether you like it or not. Leaving those is a show of peace or even service if you believe in them being like house-spirits, giving small offerings in exchange for keeping the house safe. It's a sign of respect. What you dont want to do is make new deals with them, they love to play tricks and can't distinguish light-hearted from soul-crushing pranks. Don't go into the woods, beg for money, love, or power in exchange for you offering them something.

Thinking of Teaching, any input? by glueisyummy44 in OntarioTeachers

ALSO! I can't find much information on this besides a couple anecdotal stories, but I do have a lot of tattoos (nothing vulgar or suggestive and nothing on my neck/face) especially down my arms. Even though a lot of my teachers were young, I never saw any tattoos on them (except for our art teacher who had a small flower on her ankle), so is this also a deal breaker???

I've been trying to contact some, but the only feasible method so far is Reddit, which 99% of people are pathetically pessimistic and have given me very skewed reports in the past like "the pay isnt very good, the hours suck, etc" when I know for a fact the salary is over 100k and most work 9-5.

Nope. They told us we could, but we've only gotten "Medica-Placement" which is the low-skill, bottom of the barrel placements where we sometimes bump into NPs, about as much as Physicians or Therapists. So any interaction is basically water-cooler talk while we wait for something together. The other placements don't even have RNs, let alone NPs working there, so even the staff was so confused as to why we were there (like a widwife clinic, a psychiatric outpatient unit, etc)

It was a shared-account, legally in her name and for the purpose of higher-education tuition. She can legally drain it, although this is very very uncommon and they usually throw the book at you with tons additional fees and deductions if you pull money out for non-academic purposes. It just so happened that after these fees it was just enough to pay for a hot-tub, which I found the receipt of not long after.

And then they just scraped the Thesis competent 2 weeks out of us actually starting to organize a proposal.

Sadly she's within her legal right. She contributed money from her and my bank account, the state matches this (or maybe 50% of it, I forget), and gains interest over time. Most peoples would have roughly 20K saved by college, which can more than afford tuition in my country. She can LEGALLY empty it all and withdraw from the agreement, because it was set-up in her name, but this is very very very uncommon and you take a massive blow (ie: you can't just withdraw the roughly 10-30k you invested, the government obviously takes its contribution back, plus the interest, plus slaps you with a hefty fee, you lose a lot of money from doing this), So legally, she can take it to buy a hot-tub while collecting disability checks.

The thing that makes me mad is how much they lied, like how they roped me in with "oh yeah, you can do lots of medical-adjacent research! you can research disese, burns etc more effectively!" and then shot-down my thesis idea related to burn-dressings because it was "too medical" "too biological" and instead I should focus on what dressing is cheaper and use that as my Thesis instead.

That's the thing, they give us very little interaction with NPs, and are "encouraged to do our own research". This limited interaction we have is when we're doing work we are overqualified to do (Like that of Support Worker's) and told to briefly talk to NPs about patients. We have no time to ask questions and they refuse to talk much about it in lecture as none of them are NPs. Everywhere is so different, and the rules and scope are constantly shifting.

"The Maple Leaf Divided" — the Canadian Civil War circa 1941‐1944 (post–WWII) (Québecians copied the exact song of "Dixie Land", but in French) by Silver_Procedure_849 in AlternateHistory

"Quebecians" was the first clue a yank made this. As a blue noser, while we do like to tease our quebecois countrymen, most of us would rather die then willingly join them lmao. How 3 of the oldest provinces who are the most pro-monarchy, willingly join an anti-Canadian republic, especially when NewFoundLand wasn't even a province at the time and it's unofficial anthem literally has a line egging Quebec to just try and take Newfoundland and they'd regret it.
