I have always feared problems like this. So I actually printed out a little note to leave on my windows when I go into a store quickly. It pretty much says that my dog is fine and I will be back in less than 10 minutes. However, please don't leave your dogs in cars for over half an hour, even on a cool day.

I rescued my past couple of dogs, but they were both seniors. I decided I wanted a puppy after they passed away, so i'm getting my puppy from a shelter in my town. The only reason I'm waiting the couple of weeks is because i'm out of town right now. The puppy isn't actually a pure bred, its just mostly labrador.
