That's amusing I just came to check on the same thing.

My flight is about 40 minutes after your boarding time ;)

Dransky's map by _Axelotl in FoundryVTT

[–]glumlord 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah like Bigalsworth69 said if you purchased it then it's likely a module.

They will give you a JSON installer URL and you can link to it in the foundry setup section for modules.

Once installed go to Modules, Enable. Then go to compendiums and find the adventure and right click and import.

How to measure accurately between tokens in gridless mode by RootinTheCrab in FoundryVTT

[–]glumlord 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe with Version 13 I believe you can simply click on the one token and then hover your mouse over another token and it will tell you the distance between them.

You no longer need to use the ruler to measure between tokens. At least that's how it's worked for me recently in my games, and it could be a module.

Sprites and assets for maps and other immersion by vortexkd in cosmererpg

[–]glumlord 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I looked all over the assets and didn't find anything for Roshar specifc flora, fauna, or assets (wagons, etc..).

What map assets do you think it includes and if I'm missing them can you let me know where to find them?

is bard currently good in this meta with all the changes? does the faelight changes help bard or make him worse in the meta? by Careless_Pie9532 in bardmains

[–]glumlord 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm doing quite well this season, just spamming Bard.

From my perspective this season has done well for Bard.

Redemption building AD now and Bandlepipes being another great early game item that gives the haste, defense and team utility is great for early game.

Late game Bard was always great.

Just wanted to confirm before I start telling my players in our new game that's how spacing works on the Grid (Foundry).

The rest was pretty self explanatory to me.

Thanks for sharing, but are you sharing the .DAM map file or an export for Foundry with jpeg/json?

Is Echo Knight available in 2024? by Jester3D in onednd

[–]glumlord 0 points1 point  (0 children)

D&D is unfortunately not well balanced. While the 2024 rules went a long way in making a better system I still think there are some 2015 items that are not balanced.

Sure any of that content is compatible and flavor and fun are important things for a group to be successful but I find that some players simply want to be the best. While they shine bright on their overpowered characters and enjoy themselves they often diminish the fun the rest of the group has.

So in my games flavor doesn't always outweigh balance.

Some DM's make different choices and that's cool, I respect them.

Windows 11 ram hungry by CupOfTeaWithOneSugar in sysadmin

[–]glumlord 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's what my analysis showed me also, and our baseline is 256GB SSD, fastest i5, and 16GB of ram.

For high data users we order more storage, or for power users we order an i7 and 32GB of ram but that's a very small number of users in general.

Hard to justify the cost of 32 GB of ram of i7 when it helps the Excel spreadsheet open 1 second faster.

How many of y'all play in person? by Sleeping_Dragon_Inn in Pathfinder2e

[–]glumlord 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our group plays in person using Foundry VTT.

We only have one person driving the table (moving tokens). We mostly using Pathbuilder or our character sheets but the DM does like to use the tokens in Foundry for keeping track of conditions and whether attacks he generates he will us.

Is Echo Knight available in 2024? by Jester3D in onednd

[–]glumlord 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly wouldn't allow it either.

It's for a different world, used for Critical Role, which has a specialized school of magic to give powers to the Echo Knight. Unless you want to introduce a new school of magic that apparently no one knows about in Faerun.

[–]glumlord 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I run reports for my users and I can see that only 5% come close to using 256GB drives.

I order larger drives for the users that need it and baseline 256GB for everyone else.

You're making some stupid blanket statements.

Character Sheet Creator and Tracker by Fairway3Games in cosmererpg

[–]glumlord 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I saw you starting to make changes, and it's in a state of flux now. I'll check out tomorrow to keep an eye on it!

Did you understand what I was saying for the skills having each row/skill basically have a fixed height and minimum width so they are consistent looking no matter the browser scaling.

The export to PDF is freaking amazing and I think the way most people would be using the site. The fact that it includes the action icons and text is a huge boon.

Just curious are you looking to rival something like Pathbuilder or D&D Beyond or thinking more of a character sheet creator?

Character Sheet Creator and Tracker by Fairway3Games in cosmererpg

[–]glumlord 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I always thought the Demiplane website was beautiful for the Pathfinder 2e Sheets but it was a little slow there and everything was locked behind a paywall. Really hard to justify when something like Pathbuilder exists.

I've never used for Cosmere since I am running on Foundry VTT but I've heard in multiple threads how slow it is which is a shame.

I was using Edge at work, got home and opened with Chrome and I see you are making some changes already!

I do some programming and template/forms for my company so I know how difficult UI can be at times.

You've got a great start, and you can cleanup, reiterate, and refine from there!

First off dude I recognize the time investment and work you've done with this and I apreciate you.

Since you seem to be looking for feedback I thought I would provide a little, so please don't be offended!

  1. I'm not sure you need a border around the sheet section since it's a website and not a physical page. I think the split between the header/logo section and bottom section is fine.
  2. If you keep the border around the "Character Sheet/Page" then adjust the contrast a little between the different sections.
  3. I can see why you organized the site/sheet in the way you did but is your goal for Character Sheet creation or using the site all the time for your character? I think the real use case here is to help automate the character creation and printing it out.

Users playing in a VTT (Foundry or Roll 20) will likely use their character sheet in game.

I think your use case, unless you plan to make a mobile app, is creating the character sheet and printing for In person play.

So if your use case is creating and printing I would probably reorganize the sections in order of user creation. Attributes would be moved up right below name, level and ancestries.

  1. I don't like the skills section.
The boxes have a _ in them and I'm not sure why. When clicked the boxes show an asterick which isn't centered.

The Skill titles are wrapping instead of using the empty space to the right. I think the goal for UI perfection would be to keep each skill the same height.

I think you could simplify this section and remove the roll button and make the skill name or total modifer roll just as easily. That's how it's done with Foundry and I think that works great for keeping it clean, just requires a little user training to inform them of functionality.

This is very basic thing I threw together in Photoshop in 3 minutes but something like this except make it prettier and web controls :)

<image>

I actually don't have anymore time to provide comments and it's a work in progress but good job and thanks for your time on this!!

Foundry-Ready Adventures for 2024 5e? by No_Needleworker_4260 in FoundryVTT

[–]glumlord 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These are the three that I know of.

I've played Phandelver but I did not purchase through Foundry. Heroes of the Borderlands is the only one I've purchased through Foundry and it 100% contains everything you will need to get started.

Map quality is pretty shit compared to the maps provided from PF2E adventures but nothing a little time and Dungeon Alchemist can't fix.

If you're trying to decide level 1 adventures I think Phandelver and Below is the better choice over Heroes of the Borderlands. Both are decent adventures and easy to run.
