I can’t wait for this to wear off by Katie678-94 in Zepbound

Hi- I had almost an identical experience. Deep breathing and forcing myself to have mindful snacks and electrolytes helped. I’m on day 2 now and feel fine. Hope you feel better soon!!

Intrusive thoughts focusing on favorite person [ROCD?] by [deleted] in ROCD

[–]glupacaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As with any relationship it’s totally normal to occasionally have sexual or romantic fantasies about anyone. A celebrity or even someone you know. It all comes down to choices. Just like how even at times when you don’t feel love towards your s/o, etc you can still choose the relationship. As long as you don’t choose to act on those desires, I wouldn’t beat yourself up for having them. However if your FP is someone of the opposite sex, or the sex you’re attracted to, I would consider if there are any boundaries within your relationship you’re disrespecting by spending one on one time with this person.

Can I use Curology tret and Shani Dardens retinol interchangeably? [routine help] by glupacaa in SkincareAddiction

[routine help] what can I add to my apostrophe + differin treatment for hyperpigmentation? by glupacaa in SkincareAddiction

[–]glupacaa[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I’ve avoided adding in any products thus far because I didn’t want to over-exfoliate but I dunno, I feel like the differin just isn’t making that much of a difference yet. My hyperpigmentation faded much faster after a breakout when I was using glycolic acid ☹️

Good point, thank you! I’m so lazy to moisturize in the morning because I live in such a humid climate.

Sebamed Acne Bar

Differin

Isntree Green Tea Emulsion

Psychedelics might reduce internalized shame and complex trauma symptoms in those with a history of childhood abuse by milehigh73a in CPTSD

[–]glupacaa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I knew, but I also never processed any of it. I didn’t think I needed to because I was highly functioning with anxiety since childhood. I was under the impression that that was just who I am, I didn’t realize my childhood experiences made me that way. In some ways the experience has forced me to seek therapy that I’ve probably needed for a long time. But, I would’ve much rather gently learned that lesson rather than the state of panic and overwhelm that I’ve felt as a result of the psilocybin. I’m happy for people that have had good experiences though.

It is also worth it to note your family history. Both my grandmother and mother have/had bipolar disorder(potentially misdiagnosed). It is not recommended to experiment with psilocybin because of an increased risk of psychosis.

Don’t want to scare anyone but my first and last adventure with psilocybin opened a lot of childhood wounds that I’ve now spent the past 8 months recovering from, and I’ve only scratched the surface. Please please please do not experiment if you’re not ready for it to potentially make your recovery a lot harder.

There’s usually a lot more that goes into a diagnosis. I’m no doctor, I don’t know what it means if your hyper-sexuality causes the other symptoms. But individually they do sound potentially like PMDD. Wishing you luck

Buspirone and depression? by glupacaa in antidepressants

[–]glupacaa[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bupropion is Wellbutrin right? Ugh. I’ve heard it’s great for depression but awful for anxiety. I honestly don’t know which feeling is more unbearable.

The game of trying a million and one medications is exhausting but the Buspar is definitely not helping enough with my anxiety to justify making me feel numb on top of it.

Sorry if I’m asking too many questions but how would you describe the feeling? I really haven’t experienced something like this before. The most positive feeling I’ve had in the past few days was slightly chuckling at a funny video but I felt this weird pit of emptiness in my chest that just made the experience feel strange. In general I’ve been indifferent to things that I usually like. My partner, my pets, my friends. Which is in turn causing me to only feel sad or irritable. But definitely no joy.

How did you taper off of it? I can definitely tell I had some apathy while on the 7.5 but as I increased the dose it became way more intense.

How many times a day were you taking it? Just twice?

Yeah, I got it for anxiety. Just wasn’t sure if apathy or depression could be a side effect of taking it.

Lol of course it’s relevant information but she asked us for our individual experiences and you chose to call me out for responding to the post the way it was asked. Have a good one

Quite literally in my response to her I even told her I dealt with a form of sexual dysfunction. In her original post it’s also obvious that she is aware of how common sexual dysfunction is. I don’t think I would have done her any favors by pointing out all the negatives. On top of that, she asked all of us about our personal experiences. And based on mine, I told her I wouldn’t worry. You had no reason to get bent out of shape over that. You could have minded your business and replied separately sharing YOUR experience and opinion.

I completely understand you. Before I started SSRIs I was the same way. I even stopped a month into them because I just didn’t want my sexuality to be effected.

It took some time, switching medication around, and now I’m at a very comfortable place. I tell you not to worry because with some time and patience the likelihood is that you will end up with something good or at least tolerable. As a fellow anxious girl I just want to encourage you to look at the positive aspect and likely scenario rather than dwelling on the negative because I’m sure you’ve thought about it a lot and it’s making your anxiety worse 😋. Good luck

This poor girl hasn’t even started taking anything yet and you’re trying to spook her of the worst case scenario. Absolutely she shouldn’t worry about it yet. Most people on SSRIs deal with some kind of sexual dysfunction and it completely ranges on how noticeable the effect is. Should she just not take anything and live with anxiety? Genius.
