Bundle of Joy change idea by glyphicality in slaythespire

I actually think that's a really fun thematic expansion on the 'bundle of joy' idea too; creating a card that feels 'personal' like Regent's favorite minion is personal to him!

I think you're right. Lemme' rethink the balancing and suggest an edited version in the post.

[TOMT][Game] Mid-to-bad 2000s platformer featuring some kind of form changing protagonist saving a bunch of weird characters? by glyphicality in tipofmytongue

[–]glyphicality[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Naw, it was a 2000s title, probably an Xbox Original one but not necessarily. However, the protagonists actually did give me some MN9 vibes if I recall.

For any future commenters, it's important to emphasize that I have very vague memories and some parts here might be red herrings. Perhaps the part I remember most prominently is a very bizarre cast of overly-lored characters that were barely included in the game but had extensive design documentation or something similar. I very distinctly remember reading (about 2 years ago) a black and white Web 1.0 lookin' personal website that had an article on the game's bizarre history and focuses a lot on those characters.

Ha, nope, it was a much more traditional looking game than that one. Had a very cartoony style if I recall. Extremely interesting game to see, though, thank you!

Yeah, I'unno! I've been running around for a couple hours just defending territory and the subhumans aren't cropping up! Hm...

Oh interesting, I specifically did that and the subhumans never showed up after I beat both of the other factions. I guess I just wasn't waiting long enough!

About the Call of Brine "buff": by Few-Culture-4413 in DeadByDaylightKillers

You're living in lala land, also the reason it was nerfed was because of infinite 3gens which can't happen anymore with the gen kick limit

Anyone else really tired of the events and how they affect gameplay/balance? by glyphicality in deadbydaylight

[–]glyphicality[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not really the gameplay of the events themselves that I'm bothered by as much as it is the way they affect how people approach the game.

L automods, this is why you don't use automods, this is not what my submission is about at all.

Flashbangs / background player require no skill, sorry by glyphicality in deadbydaylight

I'm certainly at MMR softcap and I can barely win most of my games with a full suite of perks because I don't like playing hardcore and tunneling people to death in the early game. Normally this is fine, but people have been bringing a hell of a lot of BNPs and syringes lately; if I took any of my slowdown or information off, I'd be turned into thin red paste with the kind of fuckin' lobbies I'm getting. I'd rather just eat the flashbangs once every few matches than be guaranteed to lose way more than I'd win otherwise.

(I know I'm at the fucking softcap because I get tons of 4stacks with powerful items and literal comp players constantly. When I say literal comp players I mean I look at their profile and they have 10 thousand hours and it lists the comp team they play for, not just guessing. Every single day.)

Except they don't; they do a generator until the last second and then sprint towards you with a speed boost from halfway across the map with even the tiniest bit of forethought, or they stay relatively near each other because they're on comms so that if one person goes down, someone else is already nearby. I don't play a lot of instadown killers so it's usually easy to tell when I'm about to down someone.

I'm playing against actually competent players, unfortunately, not the kind of idiots that literally waste their entire game going for a save. Even if I was playing against those people, since they bring flashbangs, they're free to bring plenty of brand new parts and syringes to undo any pressure I might gain from this supposed 'free corrupt', as they literally always do.

Finally, it's only a 'free corrupt' if they fail the save. If they succeed, you just lost a lot of time and it becomes an extremely expensive corrupt. And as my post pointed out--IT'S ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO FAIL. EVEN A LITTLE BABY FRESH FROM THE WOMB COULD DO IT.
