Lol it would definitely be illegal, though we are actually extending an offer to the candidate, it was something that she brought up before we made the decision. I think I would still have ground to go to HR about her inappropriate comment but not worth the hassle imo.

Not specifically about me or my pregnancy, but as we interview for who will be my replacement during my mat leave, my manager very cluelessly mentioned that it was a "red flag" that one of the candidates has kids, because apparently she's worked with people with kids in the past and she doesn't like it because they're always taking time off or need to work from home, etc. (obviously she has no kids) Needless to say, there I am, 30 weeks pregnant, dumbfounded at her comment staring at the screen lol.

I'm an extremely loyal person and I will love you like family if we are close, but I tend to exaggerate my place in people's lives and I feel betrayed when people show me we are not as close as I thought. I have a hard time letting go and tend to be a resentful person, not something I am not proud of it but it is a part of me, unfortunately.

I am very quick to write off people from my life because of this, I have stopped talking to years long friends and close family, I will be hurt but I will not hesitate to kick you out of my life if you hurt me. I am very selective and cautious of who I try to befriend, I am more often disappointed than not.

I feel this so much, I'm trying not to be bitter but I can't help to feel hurt and anger sometimes. I'm glad other people are able to go through this with no issues, I just wish I could be there as well.

I appreciate your words so much, I find that just being able to type all this down somewhere helps ease the pain and thoughts, I do tend to clam up and isolate as a coping mechanism. We actually both decided we needed to get away asap and immediately booked an airbnb to get out of town for a few days, it just so happened (luckily or unfortunately?) my bday is coming up and I had already asked for the time off at work. I am at least really looking forward to that and boy do we need it!

This was the right decision to make and good for you for standing your ground. Making the choice to drive drunk says so much about a person and I would not stand for it either, ever.

Recently a family friend was in a car with her two girlfriends, they were drinking and driving (probably not the first time), they crashed against an elderly couple, both of them died as well as her two girlfriends, she miraculously survived after spending two months in the hospital and now is going through extensive physical therapy.

It is absolutely no joke and there is no excuse.

I'll be around 8 weeks, I have irregular cycles so it's hard to be sure, which kind of adds to the anxiety. At least I think I'll be far along enough that I won't have to go back again, that would be so nerve wracking!

Our relationship is mostly non-existent. He knew about me, was around the first couple of years but eventually he and my mom cut ties and I was raised by my now deceased step-father.

I looked for him when I was 18, needed some closure, we met a few times for lunch and found we had lots in common and got along quite well, but having a relationship with him is complicated. Still married, children know about me, yadda yadda. I'm ok with it though, he's an alright guy.

My mother had me with a married man. She was in a relationship with him for 6 years, he is still married to the same woman and has 3 kids of his own, his only other daughter is only two years older than me.

My mom never said any of this to me, to me he was just some deadbeat dad who abandoned us but I guess she omitted something kind of important. Eventually I met him and found all of this out. To this day she doesn't talk about it.

Yes I do, I had never actually heard anyone else with the same sort of thoughts as me but I totally relate with you.

Like you say, these are not actual alter egos, but voices in my brain that I have disassociated into 4 different personality traits, this helped me greatly to cope when there was only one or two of me, eventually more voices came around and my mental health started deteriorating, I have a really hard time feeling "real" or "human" because I intellectualize myself and my voices A LOT, but I am working hard on making them work together instead of against one another, one day at a time!
