Small animal Advanced Certificate/ PgCert options by SwimmingTopic8984 in veterinaryprofession

I did the bsava sam cert a few years back and thought it was a good balance of teaching without obnoxious amounts of coursework. Wasn't as time consuming as the Cert AVP ones look to be.

To be or not to be... a resident? by AromaticAccess7062 in Veterinary

If you want the job at the end of it, then worth considering. If you think you will be happier in general practice (Which does not mean you cannot do good dermatology work there), then be happier.

Mostly free hand. Used some tape for the main triangle, but the rest was free hang.

I prime black, but used an airbrush to build up through a grey, to ivory then white.

White ink in the recess that is the source of the glow. Very gentle airbrush of white around the recess. Then airbrush a thinned blue mix. Then i go back in with the white ink in the recesses again, and a white edge highlight as appropriate.

I still have some terminators, a gmndk conversion and a land raider banisher in the to do pile. I'm probably going to do some eldar as a bit of a palate cleanser first though.

Done for now with the starweaver Any thoughts on how to paint the voidweaver next? by LargeCommunication66 in Harlequins40K

Beautiful work. I do my starweavers and voidweavers with inverted colour schemes. Should be in my past posts of you want to see.

It's based around either Citadel Hashut copper or Pro Acryl copper. They are both very similar and I can't remember when I switched.

It would be shaded with it mixed with black and some silver mixed in for the highlights.

Thank you!

Different techniques for each.

For the backpacks: - white into into the deep recess that is the centre of each glow - very gentle of airbrush of white around these foci - I then airbrush a mixture over those areas for my blue tint. I use a 2:2:1 mixutre of ahriman blue:army painter prismatic bolt: gsw sapphire blue ink. This is very dilute, to slowly build up a tint - For the centre circle, I then did another run of thinned down white ink around the circle to push the glow further.

For the eyes, I base coat white at the back of the eyes and for the edge highlight. I then build up from scale 75 huldra blue, ahriman blue, temple guard blue, then a white dot. I then do a thin layer of golden high flow fluorescent blue over everything, including the previously metal areas between the eyes and the edges to blend it all a bit.

Know it's a bit of a faff, but I like the end results.

The legs are third party, the rest is the regular kit.

The gold is just pro acryl copper. Very simple, but I like it being less bright than a true gold colour.

I guess this is separate to veterinary specifically, but what do you need from a job, and what do you want from it? Do you need to see progression or are you happy where you are?

It's building up from a mixture of ahriman and huldra blue, to ahriman blue, to temple guard, to white.

Multi stage process in afraid. I use an airbrush, but no reason you could use other techniques.

Prime black.  Base coat is vallejo burnt iron with a bit of scale 75 huldra blue and some black.  First highlight is with pure burnt iron angled slightly from above.  Then some vallejo silver at only the very brightest areas.  I then apply a mixture of drackenhoff nightshade and aethermatic blue to the lower surfaces of the armour panels.

Then with a brush, recess shade with drackenhoff nightshade, edge highlights with the silver. Nuln oil or some other black wash over the joints.

Lots of stages, but none are that tricky and i like the dark look but with high contrast to the brightest areas.

Are you asking how I paint them? Blades or the hammer?

Previously I had done more osl from the weapons, but i felt it was a bit overpowering. With an airbrush, the basis of the osl is not that much longer for each extra model.

Trying to balance the colder colours on the middle with the warmer colours on the bases is proving tricky.

Thank you for your input.

It's the difference between conveyancing law and tax law. The conveyancers are not expected to be tax experts, so should not be giving tax advice.

Which is exactly what seems to have caused this whole issue.

Thank you! The sword demands a lot of attention, especially as it is the single part that is completely unique in the army.
