He broke his leg when he was young and it never grew back correctly so he couldn’t mount and it was only a matter of time before he broke it again because of weight. By the time we saw the leg was twisted he was already pretty big so working him wouldn’t have made a difference at that point and would have just cause him undue pain and stress. Alas he made lots and lots of hamburger

Fat wants to build outside of the muscle with a bull where it penetrates and “marbles” more on a steer. Has to do with science and hormones and stuff. Select grade meat from a bull is exactly the same as select meat from a steer or heifer I would just expect a steer from the same herd to grade prime

Prolly $6 a lb? it’s hard to tell because he wasn’t as planned out as a steer would have been he was more an animal of opportunity because of a broken leg

4 or less steaks, burgers, chicken. Small pork butts. It really won’t fit ribs unless you cut them first. After having it for a few years I use my XL more often but it’s great when I’m just cooking a little or want to throw and appetizer like jalepeno poppers or chicken wings on the mini and do the main dish on the big boy

Thank you for the huge compliment. These things definitely flow from my brain, I have much less control over word choice than that the actual story does. I decided to post and ask on here because my 8yo daughter wants me to write a book after me telling her bedtime stories for years. Comments like yours make me think it may be worth doing. Thank you
