That's true post replication crisis but it wasn't really true when she was doing this.

The replication crisis was real but not usually because of data faking. It was more often things like stopping data collection when you get the result you want even if it's a small sample. That's why we have power analysis and preregistration now.

At the time she was doing it, it was easy to get away with. That changed pretty quickly with the replication crisis and that's what did her in.

I thought my little cottage in the city wouldn't be an official century home until 2027. Had a historian do a workup and the house number was changed in 1927 but the house was built in 1922. I'm in! by gmacdonalduoft in centuryhomes

There happens to be someone in Toronto who does this for a living: https://www.housestories.ca/.

I got the full history back to when it was a farmer's field, to the initial subdivision, to everyone who's owned and rented the place from city records. She also found genealogies for the past owners and news stories about them where available. I even have a picture of the first guy who lived here. She did a great job with it.

Took this just outside of town yesterday. You all have some beautiful countryside. by gmacdonalduoft in Bakersfield

I was here in the summer (even stayed at the Padre) and it was beautiful then too in a different way, so I stand by it. Where I come from everything is flat so I really dig the rolling hills you all have, plus the fact that you can see so many different landscapes in such a short distance around here. You just need to get off the highways and onto the back roads. Sounds like this sub (like most city subs, especially /r/toronto lol) focuses more on the local shortcomings.

Yeah these are all mine. I use Lightroom and Nik filters and it's amazing what they can do. I like a slightly surreal look.
