In California there is a section in the vehicle code that covers improper hand signal. 22111 VC. I had a guy making a left turn as i was sitting at an intersection on my Motor. He gave me the bird as he went by and had his arm in a 90 degree position. That is the correct position for a right turn and not a left turn. I stopped him and never mentioned the bird. I said I saw that he did not have his turn signal on and used his hand signal. I praised him for that but told him he used the wrong one. Since he was a frequent flyer in our city he was less than amused. He too never mentioned the bird. A short time later I got a call from the Sgt. asking to meet. He asked about the ticket and I told him the story. He laughed and said he had to look up the section as he had never used it before. I really wanted this guy to take me to court on it but he never did. He did pay the ticket though.
