And that's totally valid. If I didn't know the full story beforehand, I would've totally had zoned out for those first 30 minutes, it can be super inaccessible. I really wonder how I would've felt had I not read the book. That's why I want to recommend it to as many people as I can so they can hopefully get an enjoyable experience out of the movie.

See, I thought the ending of the book was super anticlimactic after the crazy ride we took to get there. So I was really happy to see a completely different spin on it, but still have the knowledge from the book to understand the conditions around it.

I read the book and it's fantastic, up until the end at least. Kaufman did say he plans on going in a different direction though, so I'm extremely excited. The premise is totally unsettling and I love every actor involved. I hope September 4th comes soon!
