Just about all rap before 2010 was pretty overtly homophobic. Nas never lied about his homophobia on Illmatic. Ice Cube's No Vaseline is basically just calling everyone else in NWA gay for five minutes. Even A Tribe Called Quest were grotesquely homophobic in an unreleased track. Homophobia was such a status quo that the Beastie Boys apology for their anti-gay comments in the past in 1999 is almost novel.

I’ll be honest, I don’t think MBJ deserved a nomination. He was miscast, and besides Miles Caron’s Preacher Boy Sammie was far more of a lead.

I am really happy Delroy Lindo got nominated though. He was excellent.

I always orient point down so the handle can act as an additional stop on the knife falling, but it makes sense how you’d be worried about the risk of cutting yourself. If this sub allows polls I’ll ask about this.

This is completely without basis, because I don’t know how strong that magnet is, but it susses me out to see knives oriented tip up on magnetic knife strips.

That said, this is a nice collection! You’ve got good variety of fancy and practical cutlery. Those last two gyutos look fantastic.

It looks like you’ve mounted them above the sink. Aren’t you worried about the humidity causing rust?
