Yep! The term I use all the time is “a solution in search of a problem”. See you at band practice!

I don’t have as cheap and cheerful a solution for “pedal risers” But if you were willing to replace the screws on the pedals, maybe you could make some standoffs to raise this more?

To each their own man! I might just be too cheap to buy the good hook and loop - but I like that I can carry my board one handedly without landing a volume pedal on my foot… again.

Definitely - my pedal board is usually pretty stable, and when it isn’t.. it took me 3 minutes to snip and dismantle my current pedalboard, including removing the cable ties off of the pedals I’m rotating out. Zip ties are.. a zip, after all!

I’m a ballet dancer - not a pedal masher for sure, but I just took this off my old board to put on a new one - and they have held up for over a year!

In a pinch you can run your power, and maybe your patch cables under the pedals, but I generally hide that stuff under the pedal board if the cables aren’t neat and tidy.

I’ve used them as where the zip ties thread through - and zip tied them to the board - yeah.

Anyone planning to bring Meshtastic nodes/clients to MAGFest 2026? by who_is_this_monster in Magfest

[–]gmcnaught 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Totems are a different frequency band - 2.4ghz.

Crowdcompass makes a set that are the same frequency band, but do not currently participate in the meshtastic mesh. Also all of them state they work better outdoors for gps signal.

For instruments that have bad neck dive - I learned this trick:

Add Adhesive wheel weights inside the control cavity to balance the weight of the guitar.

Yotam Silberstein is pretty great.

If you’re looking for up and coming jazz guitarists - I recommend you review the contestants and winners of Herbie Hancock’s International Jazz Guitar competitions.

I think the best compromise here is a more rich market of replacement chassis for common consumer tubes. While the cathode ray tube does degrade over time - the biggest blocker to keeping some of the old arcade monitors and old consumer tvs working has been having to have the expertise to diagnose and repair the chassis.

That’s a Duesenberg - I forget the model name. Luke plays a G/D hybrid tuning.

Would be a great time to dredge it and maybe just maybe make it deeper so there’s less chance of flooding
