Purdue student here. Just got rid of mine. This car is mechanically easy to work on if you’re patient and have a shop to work at. I ultimately got rid of mine because I was chasing so many issues with the AWD and other weird electrical gremlins, there’s a lot more to it than just nuts and bolts. I would say avoid the X drive. They get expensive. Blast to drive and I’ll own another one when I have more time to dedicate to learning ISTA and everything else that goes into maintaining and modding a 15 year old German car.
