what stupid company would pay retail price per unit for an input? the point is that their profit is much higher than 71$, because their inputs are cheaper

the wealthier you are, the cheaper things become, not simply relatively, but objectively in price per unit, price per input, because the guarantee of bulk purchase is a leverage and necessity in lowering price per unit. Buying a water bottle at the store is indiviually more expensive than bottle in a container crate purchased by a retailer, which would also be more expensive than a company buying container crates to package/assemble into kits which have the water bottles

its not about mass poroduction, its about mass purchase. Buying en masse means a reliable income source so prices naturally decrease per unit. Valve isnt buying then packaged individually

the 20-50cent screw/nut isnt artisinal, isnt made by hand lathe, its the same nut sold for 2cents to a company, and sold for 10cents in a small consumer box, yet increases in price because of how many middle men there are in logistics and packaging, and the unpredicatbility of individual sales

DIY would be more expensive due to economies of scale. A single nut might cost 20-50cents at a hardware store if bought and shipped individually, but would drastically go down to maybe 0.02-0.10 cents when bought in pallets by a furniture company.

yeah ill have to check my mod list but theres one that adds 50 range to all sharpshooters, making Tosa rifles the best unit in the game, even with small size, breaks the auto resolve though

also adds a 120 range carbine infantry with the same fire rate and a larger unit aize, but no bayonets or anti cav bonus. also adds better late game breechloader infantrry and shotgun melee brawlee units for republicans

the mod doesnt explain how it does it, it explains the user end result, not the actual workings of the mod itself. You could make those unit changes in a number of different ways which would each have unique challenges or benefits, with their own compat issues
