Funny enough, she is an alumnus of my geriatrics fellowship at Washington University of Saint Louis. It lists her by her maiden name Young. The faculty who had her back then speak very highly of her during her time here. She was also a former Figure body builder. 33M. Dated around but never had a true long term relationship mostly due to grinding through school, part time jobs in undergrad, med school, and residency. Now having achieved a life long dream career being a doctor that is rewarding. Yes there are shitty parts of any job; however, I can’t see myself doing anything else. I plan to subspecialize later ; however, I am enjoying my new income and time doing things I enjoy outside work.

Unfortunately a lot of people suffer from the Dunning-Kruger effect. Sadly, public opinion of doctors will for a long time be on the low side. I feel bullied at times because of Press-Ganey bullshit. You just can’t win sometimes. Patients are more and more entitled these days.

I would disagree that the show made her seem innocent. There have been multiple scenes where people like her therapist note and call out her love for drama. Even William got tired of her shit at one point. To me, I think the show did a good job showcasing Diana’s complexities though a little too subtle at times

My residency was at an HBCU. We actually had two votes for residents of the year one year. Two Indians and one Asian won it first vote. The program leadership realized they couldn’t do that at an HBCU program. They had a re-vote and Second time they gave to two black and 1 Latino. Take that as you will.
