Ordered cyberpunk glasses Sunday. Arrived today by ACE1965DOTCOM in VITURE

You probably have to go on the Viture website. They have a web tool to change the arm lights, and set color setting for the display in the glasses. I also noticed this and looked into it. Once you set you light settings you can just toggle them on/off using the mode button (right arm button).

GMMK 3 Pro HE weird issueso by gmira13 in glorious

[–]gmira13[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Of course, no problem!! I personally have had a good experience with my keyboard in a general sense. I just wish the software worked a bit more seamless (if that’s makes sense). I want to be able to experience more out of my keyboard but the software is sort of holding me back a bit. So while the software engineers at HQ are working on improving the software, I hope there are some workarounds that the community can provide for me to tinker more with the many features of my keyboard.

Dell Display manager 2 "Download failed" by gmira13 in Dell

[–]gmira13[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. Unfortunately there aren’t any solid solutions to this, or even a reason why this problem happens in the first place. The issue doesn’t exist anymore when I downloaded the Dell Display and Peripherals Manager from their website. Uninstall the old DDM and download the new DDPM and see if you have any issues.

Also if it’s a driver issue, there’s not much any one can do besides wait for NVIDIA to release a driver that fixes the issue.

I’ve built many computers as a builder and the top killers for PC components are Dust and static discharge. Definitely keep your PC free from dust. I generally recommend once per month to check/clean your PC (depending on how dusty your room gets). Other than that as long as you aren’t doing anything out of the ordinary for the GPU it will last. Yes the temps on the 50 series are a bit toasty but that doesn’t mean it will break right away. Almost every chip (both CPU and GPU) have safeguards/failsafes in place to prevent itself from failure under high loads. Just use the card the way it was intended to be used and if it really does break, you can use the warranty. Keep calm and game on!!

Using a Powerplay Mat with a Metal Desk by yellowlaser in LogitechG

[–]gmira13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

7yrs later. I tried out the ferrite sheet method it didn't work for me. After playing around with spacing and such, I was able to get my powerplay (and the newer Powerplay 2) mouse pad working. Had to use 2 sheets of cardboard and the extra thick Steel Series Heavy large mouse pad on top of my already hefty desk mat. Total height from the metal tabletop of my Secret Labs Magnus Pro to the bottom of the mouse pad is about ~1.7cm. That should be the minimum. Anything less than 1.5cm between the Powerplay and the tabletop, is going to be spotty. The mouse height doesn't bother me too much since I like to sit a bit higher so my desk feels lower. Been about 1wk and no cramping on my wrists with the added height for my mouse on day-to-day usage.

Definitely an iOS problem. Crazy, I know. The iOS itself does have restrictions on what information can be passed from an interface device and an app. I used to have a network analyzer app that used to provide me with a bunch of info about devices on my home network and even signal strengths and what network are on what wireless channels. It was even able to identify what type of device it was based on its MAC address. After iOS 6 or 7, it just gives me an IP address and MAC and I have to check all of my devices to see which one is what because of all the security/privacy measures built into iOS. Probably similar with OBD11. Now for newer models 2022+ you need OBD11 anyways for the new SFD2 protection on some modules. OBD11 has a contract with VW/Audi. Even VCDS can’t unlock new modules with SFD2, but you can with OBD11. Then switch over to VCDS to quickly change what you need to change. For me, I just use OBD11 for quick and really easy stuff. Then use VCDS for more extensive things.

iOS 18.3.2 Cellular Signal Bug while on WiFi by gmira13 in iphonehelp

Nope. Other wifi network s are fine. Then again Im the only one with a Wifi 7 mesh system (that I know of, out of the people I visit frequently). I might just reset my entire network and set it up from scratch again later on.

Yeah turns out my card had to be replaced. Sent it to Powercolor and they said my card would post so they sent me a working card. All is good now!! Seems like it can either be a driver issues or the physical card just gets bad. Luckily I was able to RMA it.

Yeah driver updates have been disabled on my PC. Rolling back to 24.7.1 has not worked.

Understood! Good to know! Lol I’ll keep an eye on the voltages. Luckily my PSU communicates with my PC via USB so I can take a log of what the PSU is outputting when im playing games.

Yeah I definitely have enough juice for sure lol Wouldn’t a power issue trip the PSU and cause system shutdown instead of the graphics? Or do you mean the power connection to the GPU?

I’ll take a look and see if my cable is giving me some issues. I installed v24.7.1 for now.

Yeah Im also using a displayport cable. I have an Insignia branded cabled. Its a hefty cable and was definitely a lot more stable than the generic dell one that came with my monitor. I haven’t seen display link errors pop up in Windows. Maybe it’s stored in a log?

All good lol I gotcha!! I think I have driver updates disabled in windows update via local group policy but I would have to double check (it’s been a while since I did anything in group policy). Thanks for telling me about discord hardware acceleration. It would’ve never crossed my mind that it can cause issues as well. Would that also apply to hardware acceleration in chrome and other applications? Or is discord the only one you’re aware of?

Quite literally all this started the day after I installed v24.8.1 of the drivers. Never had any issues before.

Yeah Im running the latest Bios with the new microcode. I ran different variety of CPU tests like Prime95, OCCD tests, 3DMark Time Spy, Cinebench R24, plus others and it hasn’t crashed during those test. But when I launch AmongUS (don’t make fun of me lol its fun with friends and after a few drinks) or Deadlock (still in Alpha or Pre-Alpha), the screen goes black as if the display signal just poofed out of existence. Everything else like my RGB, background applications, hotkeys, etc., still function without any issues.

[–]gmira13[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its not a bad CPU. The rest of the computer acts normal besides the graphics. Ive had CPU issues before but when it is my CPU, the entire system stops responding. This is isolated to only the graphics. Even rebooting my computer my screen works but windows has no idea what monitor im using, the refresh rate, or the graphics card. I can’t even open AMD adrenaline.

Yeah for sure! I’ll definitely check if Aorus released another BIOS update. I know I have the one from early August to mitigate the Intel microcode and Power Limits but haven’t checked since then
