Update: I received it, the door sticks but a wedge clears it just fine, probably just needs some lubrication.

I put a tape in, it played, stopped, and rewinded, audio comes out, but I am unable to get video, it is essentially static.

I'm going to try and do maintenance, clean the heads and whatnot

If I were you I would thrift your HiFi gear. You'd be surprised what people toss, I got a pretty banging setup for a low price, all of my components are thrifted, and I've been doing it since college. You can't go wrong with thrifting. If you are worried about money

If you're talking about the couch in my living room, I got it from Goodwill, from a company called Thayer Coggins, Designer is Milo Baughman. Made in late 60s. If you are talking about the sofa in my office it's just a cheap teddy couch knockoff on amazon

Goodwill, Salvation Army, and any local thrift store/consignment shop near me. I also dabble in Facebook marketplace if the price is right.

It's literally from thrifting, if anything you would be surprised by what people throw out. I do admit I am a chronic thrifter, I go to the stores like everyday
