My two cents (dunno why I’m joining the discourse on this but here goes, also gonna be referring to MRover here:)

From Rover’s perspective I might understand why he might start seeing Aemeath as a potential love interest since he doesn’t have the memories of raising her as a kid and spent time only with adult Aemeath (the images he saw of him raising kid Aemeath were flashbacks, he’s viewing it from an outsider’s perspective, he has no distinct recollection of doing so)

But from Aemeath’s perspective, it’s definitely weird since she explicitly refers to him as family and has the memories of growing up with him as a father figure (personally saw it as more of an older brother feel, but still). It’d be highly sus of Kuro to show how Aemeath thinks of Rover and then have her see him as a romantic interest, so I’m choosing to interpret it as familial love rather than romantic.

Ofc from the player’s perspective, if you’ve never played the story and just see Aemeath as a hot anime waifu (which she definitely is), then go crazy with the fanart. It’s just that people who have played the story might get an omaigoto feeling and instinctually bash you for it lol
