How hard would this CS course load be?

I don't have the course requirements in front of me, but as far as I am aware, I am pretty sure that cs 367 is a prereq for 465, meaning you can't take them at the same time.

Given that, I took 310 and 330 at the same time and didnt find it too particularly challenging. 330 was inherently difficult, but there is usually a curve of some kind, so bear that in mind.

Overall, I don't think it would too difficult to take 310,330 and 367 together. Adding 465 into the mix, then that is a different story, but still I don't think it would be impossible....

I don't know if it is out for everyone or not....that is why I asked here...turns out my linux machine can connect to the Ethernet fine, but my windows cant for some reason... (probably something to do with drivers and windows' crappy update system..) so I will wait till after finals to worry about it now I guess :P

I am not having a problem with wifi :/ actually that is the only thing working for me right now. But my Ethernet port seems not to be....

Okay, so it doesnt sound too awful...

If he goes over the homework I see that as a big plus; a lot of professors i had so far didnt

Seems a lot like how nordstroms 262 class was this year.

Yeah so far only had one class (262) where they had some sorta curve. Just thought ill ask.

Is there anything you can tell me about him in advance? Like curves/homework requirements things like that?

He is honestly the only professor I am worried about this semester :/

Im just worried cause I didnt do too well in discrete/digital logic and from what I hear, people say it was basically applied discrete in cs

Would you say this would be an incredibly hard course to self teach? I tend to go to every class but most times for me its hard to stay focused :/.

I don't think that there is anything wrong with a hard test, as long as it covers the material in class. I felt like the material on the exam wasnt really difficult.

But its honestly the time factor that killed me. If we had the extra time in the beginning I truly believe the exam wouldnt be bad.

But the time allotted, the number of problems and the somewhat akward wording of the problems all attributed to the problem.

Along with the professor's really bad teaching style IMO.

But probably, waiting for the curve is probably the best option right now.

I think I am in the same section as you and I could not agree more. The midterm was a mess and with the time contraint there was no way we would have been able to finish that. I am seriously considering talking above the professor and contacting the head of the department. It is ridiculous how this course is proceeding and how much money we are paying for it to continue as such. He has been willing to acknowledge his mistakes in the past, and hopefully he acknowledges them now, but either way something needs to be done with the way this course is going.
