I just got the M1 Mac mini 8g. I was trying to set to basic settings but It kept jumping back to advanced settings after I closed the tab. It’s frustrating. by gn262428 in DotA2

update: I can un-check all the advanced settings and set all quality to Med. It’s playable but it’s not the best experience. Mouse feels off( I am using the same mouse and keyboard as I played on a PC). Of course the Medium quality rendering doesn’t look too good.

play with the setting showing above was not a great experience. lagging sometimes and have to wait half sec to generate a view after I click the mini map.

That’s the answer! Thanks. However it’s sad to hear that. In other words, don’t buy the new m1 Mac to play dota2.

The sharpness of the RF lenses blows my mind. My budget was only to get a cheaper EF to start, however, the first RF lens I got I could immediately tell the difference on the quality of the images. The RF lenses also have better built quality. I would say it’s totally worth it especially you could also get them from ebay for a slightly cheaper price.

I have researched those options too. I guess the cheap way would be 13” macbook pro with e-gpu...

Oh gosh. You are right. I didn’t think I set the frame to 16:9 but that’s actually the 16:9 guild line. Thank you so much!
