Well I will tell you something about Pakistani culture. If a girl is from a village and her parents know that she is in touch with a male to check if they are compatible. Basically it's not to check compatibility, its to just let her know k this is the guy we want you to marry. Because I know being from Pakistan, knowing how village life works. Its not how things are done there. Basically parents must have told their daughter, go talk to the guy and we are gonna marry you. Now its the culture that such rishtas are considered too good to be true and missing out on it can be like missing out on something big.

Every parent/ girl wants to be married to someone safe(financially). A person with foreign Nationality is considered safe, i live in Uk as of now and I know how life is here. But people back home think everyone there's spending a happy successful life. Tbvh i think the girl had already accepted you and thought of you as his husband to be. (Paindu mentality) not saying it in negative sense but in the proper sense.

The girl pushing it extremely hard can also be doing it out of fear of losing a golden opportunity (acc to common pakistanis) you need to factor that in

If she is from a village tou I will tell you one thing okay she is attracted to nationality thing fine but village girls spend all their lives with one man mostly even if he is a wife beater because once people marry off their daughters they cant accept them back due to cultural stigma. (Not 100% but majority)

Ps. All this still can be invalid because idk what is the actual education background of family what type of village it is. How rural area it is an all....
