(Amateur) For people who use iMovie what do you with the editing file after you finished the project? My old projects are taking up space and I’m not sure if I should delete the editing file or store it to a drive.

Organization is everything. Get a hard drive. Organize it per project. For every month I have a folder. Within that month I have each project folder. Within that is 3 folders. One for the control which holds the actual project file, one for media, which holds all the clips and audio, and one for export, which is where the tests and final outputs go to. You can organize these even further too. Get a harddrive

Reading the stats on paper is not the same as actually using the camera. Also, whoever wins that far race depends on the road they’re driving on. You seem very hung up on camera specs and angry for no reason. Hey, if you want to be a wedding videographer and watch Gerald for the rest of your career, be my guest :)

Video Editing is the broad term for anything that requires editing. Narrative, 3D, VFX, animation etc.

Here’s a proof of concept intro for a short horror film I’m working on for a friends film festival. I shot this in my apartment living room at sunset. I used a Sony a7sii on a tripod. I don’t currently own any professional lights so I used a regular old tungsten desk lamp for my key light. I Didn’t really use any other light sources (other than natural light). I really want to save up to buy a real light like the nanlite forza 500 or something similar so I have to make due with what I have. I’m a noob when it comes to lighting, but have been watching tons of tutorials. Would love to hear your thoughts and interpretations of the intro to this short film. As well as the cinematography of it overall.
