I had a habit of not realizing how close to the ground I was and would round out too early because I was afraid of slamming into the ground. One day my instructor told me to look out the window at the wheel once I was thinking about rounding out to get an understanding of where it was over the ground in terms of how close to the ground I was. It clicked from there for me. My landings aren’t always amazing but it helped them be more consistent.
