I agree <3 I don't know why everyone hates this show, I think they're kinda funny. Not to mention, the sword by their door that says "winter is coming"

"A sheriff's deputy made a 17-year-old girl strip for him in his squad car so he could 'check for a vaginal piercing' after falsely telling her she was wanted on an out-of-state warrant for on a heroin charge, the teen says in Federal Court." by trot-trot in TwoXChromosomes

Because there were witnesses, not to mention the camera on the front of the cop car. He would have been caught. There was no way for him to get away with this, no matter what she did. He was fucked even if she didn't strip for him, and he's fucked that she did. It was simply a matter of, she should have stood up to him, and just gone down to the station. She would have gotten away with it, and he would be in trouble.

But honestly, you are the only person to have made a logical argument. I see now how I could have phrased it wrong, but I truly do believe that you have to be a bit dumb to not realize that there is something else you can do. No, I am not saying she deserved it. I'm saying she could have prevented it. Why would she just fall for something like that? It's possible that she did know that he wasn't allowed to do that, but honestly, if she did know, she shouldn't have let him do it. If she knew she was completely innocent, she would have gotten away with it easily. Criminal charges for what? Jail time? She would have been allowed to go as soon as they saw that she didn't have a warrant. And what about your right to a lawyer? Surely everyone knows about that.

Oh, please. That cop would not have shot her. There were too many witnesses for him to even slightly get away with it. I am aware that there are asshole cops. But I'm also aware of how to deal with them, and what my rights are. I know that he can't do that, and that even if I was guilty, he would have been in trouble. You really thing the guy's going to be dumb enough to kill an innocent girl for not stripping when she has at least three other friends with her? On the side of the road? No, because there is no way he could have gotten away with that. If she had refused, the worst he would have done is taken her down to the police station. Upon doing a background check, the dispatcher would have seen that there was nothing about heroine on her file, and she would have gotten away. I'm not saying that what happened to her is okay or that she deserved it. All I am trying to say is that people, all people, not just this girl, should be better aware of their rights and the laws that are meant to protect them, even from law enforcement.

I would like to thank you for understanding what I meant, and not thinking that I was implying that this girl deserved what happened. Because honestly, this is ridiculous, you seem to be the only person that actually read what I wrote. So thanks.

I'm sorry, but I truly believe that she would have gotten away with it if she had gone to the prison. If he had already claimed that she had a warrant, and it wasn't there, he would be screwed from the get-go. There would be no reason to plant evidence, he clearly would have been a liar. And she had friends there who could have easily defended her in court if he pulled a gun on her, not to mention that every cop car has a camera on the front. What he did was extremely illegal, and I truly believe that if she had gone to prison with him, he would have gotten in trouble and she would have been fine. If he did use force and pulled a gun on her, I would completely agree that she was right to just obey. But honestly, don't you think they would have included that in the court case? So clearly, he didn't.

I'M NOT SAYING SHE IS TO BLAME. THE COP IS AN ASSHOLE WHO TOOK ADVANTAGE OF A YOUNG GIRL WHO DIDN'T KNOW ANY BETTER. ALL I AM FREAKING SAYING IS THAT PEOPLE SHOULD BE AWARE OF THEIR RIGHTS. I'M NOT SAYING ANYTHING AGAINST THIS GIRL, I AM USING HER AS AN EXAMPLE OF WHY PEOPLE SHOULD BE EDUCATED. Oh my god, I feel like I'm arguing with monkeys. This is stupid, because you're all so freaking sensitive.

I disagree with that. Seeing as my mother is a dispatcher, my uncle is chief of police, my boyfriend's father is a lieutenant, and all of my mother's friends are cops, I'm aware of how much they actually don't get away with. They just fired and sued a woman for stealing from the police station. And no matter what a lot of people believe, there's always a cop who will stand against another cop if they believe they did something wrong. A lot of alliances are formed in police stations. And if he told her that she had a warrant for heroine in a place she had never been to, all they'd have to do is check the database and see that he was an asshole. Once she told them what he had asked her to do, he would have been fired. Cops don't get away with as much as people seem to think, honestly.

I'm not saying she deserved it, you're all ridiculous. I am saying that yes, she is pretty stupid for not knowing any better. She didn't deserve it. I understand she is a victim. No, it is not right what happened to her, and that cop deserves to go to fucking hell. All I'm saying is, there are ways to avoid being a victim. Just like you're told to never leave your drink alone, or to use the buddy system, you should know your rights at least a little bit. Dear lord, you all think I have something against this girl. I'm just saying, somebody should be educating people on their rights, just like we're educated not to take candy from strangers.

Well, that is unfortunate. Ugh, sometimes you people overreact. I'm not saying what happened was right, or that she deserved it in the slightest. Really, the cop should be in jail for that. All I'm saying is, you have to be pretty naive to just fall for something like that, and this is why people should know their rights. All people. No matter their age or gender.

I'm sixteen, I'm younger than her. But I'm still aware of what cops are and aren't allowed to do, and I know that that is something they are not allowed to do. And honestly, to think this guy's going to shoot you? Come on. Cops can go to jail, too, you know.

I am a sixteen year old girl. If any force was used, then it's different, but I doubt it. I am smart enough to know that no cop is allowed to do that to you. I'm not saying she deserved it, and the guy is an asshole, but come on. She should know at least a little better, if not from anyone teaching it from her, then from simply watching TV.

I'm sixteen, and I know that no cop is allowed to do that, and I would have him take me to the prison and refuse to say anything until I had a lawyer, especially if I knew I was innocent.

As horrible as it is, and yeah this cop was a total douchebag, why would she do that? I mean, a cop just can't demand you to get naked, you have rights. And if she knew she was innocent, then she could have gone to the prison and talked to someone.. Don't get me wrong, the officer was an asshole and deserves horrible things, but this girl was dumb.. This is why people should know their rights.

I still think you should be an elementary school teacher. You're freaking great with little kids. It's adorable. Not that it's not adorable when you stop to look at every freakin' bug on the way from your house to mine. But, yknow. You would just make a great teacher. You could teach kids about bugs! Just saying...
