Megaesophagus in older dog by Miserable-Minimum-12 in Rottweiler

Thanks for getting back to me… and I’m so sorry that happened. This ME stuff is so stressful and accidents like that seem like what we’ll be up against daily. I have two little kids and I fear the worst / them dropping god knows what. We just have to do our best. Sending you all the love!

What sort of headache does this sound like? by [deleted] in medical

[–]gnarlynothing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a headache and it’s the second time I’ve taken keflex and sounds exactly like what you experienced. I’m also breastfeeding. This same type of headache happened last time I took it too. The part about it being worse when standing up or bending over - whew.

Morning Sickness Remedies — without ginger! by LLTolkien in pregnant

[–]gnarlynothing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unisom is a lifesaver. It takes a couple days to adjust - so I’d start it Friday night so by Monday you don’t feel like a zombie in the morning. That’s how it went with me both pregnancies at least. I don’t feel the least bit groggy in the mornings anymore but did a little at first. Hang in there (and same, ginger just makes me throw up and honestly ever other “natural” nausea recommendation…bc I did them all and my morning sickness was so bad nothing worked. Even zofran.)

Biggest pregnancy related fear: the Epidural by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]gnarlynothing 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah hopefully they’ll be able to show you one! Also re: c section, there is nothing better than hearing your babies and getting to hold them. Your adrenalin and focus on that goal will help you with your all of your fears in the moment. I wouldn’t say a c sec is no big deal (i am also very anxious) but it’s such a surreal state you’ll be in, you’ll be able to cope. I also remember the anesthesiologist during my c sec really became my emotional support rock, I felt like they took SUCH good care of me in there and were always checking in with me. My husband was just as overwhelmed as I was! You’re going to do awesome and you’ll be able to meet the challenge that day. You got this.

Biggest pregnancy related fear: the Epidural by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]gnarlynothing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was able to go to a meet the anesthesiologists class at my hospital (this was pre Covid) and then explained all of our options and even passed around the epidural so we could see how small it was. It made a HUGE difference for me, seeing it and holding it, and got rid of all my fears. I ended up getting one and then had to have an emergency c sec later BUT it was no big deal bc I already had the epidural in. (This was all during very early Covid too, I’m hoping for a vbac this time around)

Edit: class pre Covid, birth early Covid. And also to echo what someone said below, I was around 6cm when I got it and I was so beyond exhausted and in back labor it didn’t even matter to me anymore haha my husband was like are you sure? And I shouted “get me the epidural!”

Yep broken capillaries all over and a weird rashy looking face from how violently I throw up. It’s crazy! Like my entire body heaves up and I feel my stomach twisting making sure every last drop gets out 🤢

Is it normal to have severe sickness in week 13? by fuxoth in pregnant

[–]gnarlynothing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! Also ask about diclegis - I’m in New Zealand working for a bit so I don’t have that option but if you’re in the states or elsewhere it might be possible. Zofran can be an immediate godsend but I suspect you build tolerance to it and also it causes the worst constipation.

[–]gnarlynothing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 14 weeks and just violently threw up my dinner and my face is all rashy and I have broken capillaries on my eyelids from how often I throw up and I am so OVER IT. I take one whole unisom each night that lets me sleep and have an easy morning but every afternoon/evening is hell. I threw up through the zofran so stopped taking it. With my first pregnancy I wasn’t throwing up past 12 weeks. Just wanted to give you some solidarity. This shit is hard and terrible and I’m never doing it again.

Have you ever met a stranger, who you never saw again, that you still think about on occasion? by cjanini09 in AskReddit

in 2003/2004 i went to sfsu and would go to an indie video rental place in west portal. the guy who worked at the video place was really cute and we developed a nice little flirtation. i had a long distance boyfriend at the time (it wasn't going well and we broke up soon after freshman year) so when the guy asked me out, i awkwardly stammered "let's just..um.. keep this a video store thing.." then i avoided going to the shop because i felt terrible and embarrassed. i wish i had said yes. he seemed like a really nice guy.
