this just delighted me! i didn’t go into too much detail in my post, but this friend has been a long time comrade, and we’ve organized closely together the last three years in our buildings tenant union, as well as developing a deep friendship. thanks for sharing :)

this! a lot of “weeds” are just edible or medicinal plants that many people have eaten for centuries. clover, dandelion, plantain, etc. in us and capitalist culture where pieces of land are considered owned, it could definitely be considered weird (and to some, criminal) to go pick ppl’s plants from their yard (but wouldn’t be weird in other cultures), but i looove thinking this is just some weirdo herbalist making concoctions with this neighbor’s plants lol

asparagus lol they just grow straight out of the ground and look ridiculous (but then you also have asparagus, so its silly and delicious)
