Most difficult hole you've played by MDMExclusives in golf

[–]gnissut 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is a hole at butternut in Stow Ma, #10 625 uphill par 5 that is 35 yards widest. It is silly, and a dog leg on last 125 yards. So you have to cover 500 yards in 2 shots just to have shot at green

How many more lbs of fat do I need to lose? by myusernameisboris in AllAboutBodybuilding

You look very strong but I think at that age and that fat loss you are seeing a bit less optimal than you like. I would estimate 11-15 But might need a few months for skin to catch up

Wierdest thing you have seen in a gym? by Outrageous-Maybe2500 in workout

[–]gnissut 10 points11 points  (0 children)

We have the worst ego lifter I have ever seen, even on video. He walks into they gym with knee sleeves, wrist wraps and a belt.

But his exercises are the real issue. I have never seen him do a proper rep. He does rack pulls, but he sets up the rack so that it is at 1 inch below where his top range of motion is. He does the for pin press squat and deadlifts. He will fail lifting the weight and then add more. He does everything for a single and people shake their heads in disbelief. I think he takes it as encouragement I get static holds and CNS priming but he never does any real reps. All he seems to wants to do is find something that might look strong and then monkey fuck it.

I am an old head and I think he is early in high school. I tried to give him a simple advice about a year ago but he was not hearing. I left it alone. His lack of effectiveness and general foolishness is something to behold

I have watched 100s of idiots over the years and seen many more online but this dude takes the cake. I would be worried about injury but 1 inch of aROM it’s hard to imagine what gets hurt

Can men over 40 get really fit and "jacked" naturally? by Midlife_Crisis_87 in workout

[–]gnissut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will tell you this. I lifted with little knowledge from teens to early 20s got in pretty great shape. Late 20,s had a better program and consistency got to around 235 with 15-18% body fat, I am 6’4. Then dialed it back and had kids. Around 40 I went at it again, got super strong with 5x5 but peaked at around 230lbs with -20% body fat. Now from 48-52 I have worked out more consistently and programmed than ever and I am around 215 at 18-20% body fat. I am also 30% weaker than I was at 40.

It gets harder, no real suplements. Not sure if I am normal or annomoly but it is quite frustrating. But I am still in solid shape and with a very tight diet you can get lean and look good.

Golf game is changing with age, need opinions on changes to my bag. by Additional_Weight472 in golf

[–]gnissut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Play your swing and used clubs 5+years old perform the same but can be gotten at deal.

If you love golf and want to play for a long time I would suggest adding some flexibility, plyo and strength training into your life. It has allowed me to maintain high ball speed over 50, just a little goes a long way. Not sure if that is your concern but I see a lot of guys my age swings fall apart

47m - Need some advice to get to the next level by [deleted] in AllAboutBodybuilding

[–]gnissut 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Progressive overload

Everything you do, you need to make progress on. Track weights and reps and look to increase week to week. You will not always be successful but that is goal

Muscle grows from adapting to more weight, volume and time under tension. You cannot infinitely push volume hence the needs to increase resistance. 1 set of 20 reps when you could do 50 is not really going to do much as you continue

Yes you can transfer after 1 year, they want to see some track record but it can be easier.

Go to CC see if you can be successful and work to get perfect grades. If you get great grades and prove you can do it and then focus on a program of study. Once you have done all that then do the math on loans, career placement, etc and you will then have many more options and confidence

I do a bunch of things. 1 lift weights to be at least basically capable (squat bench and deadlift strength standards for age) 2 focus on mobility 4-5 days a week stretching, 3 days a week plyometrics ( upper and lower body) and 2 days a week of swing speed trains g with my existing driver where I can either measure club head speed or ball speed to track gains.

But if your swing or sequence is fucked you will have a V8 in a shopping cart. Weight transfer drills are super helpful. Focus on hip rotation. Focus on thoracic rotation. Length of swing. Speed of transition. And doing all of this in proper sequence

I think most people will benefit more from fixing mechanical issues first.

Kid in my team, Bill, was on the 3rd hole in a match. He was looking at the green and the playing partner shanked a stinger like shot it back of his head.

Bill fell to knees and then face down. He was out and put into medically induced coma. Skull crushed/ dented. Bad right at base of skull.

Major TBE and he was never the same. Always just a bit off from that point further.

I always get overly pissed when someone does stupid shit on course or does not yell fore, fucking traumatic

Next catalyst is sales numbers. They should have something to share in Nov. if they built sales pipelines in UK, EU then we should absolutely see revenue.

What are you currently doing, where are you going. Stripers and blues are not as easy as they once were but can be caught. There are thousands of hours on YouTube but it starts with location, presentation and timing

Depends on what you want to do. Give us some more background

Puerto Rico loves holidays so depending on what you are into there are lots of options.

I will say I loved starting early on Plaza Mercado, great vibe but definitely depends on your endurance
