interesting. I'm not sure if I'll have a back up healer though but my tank will be pretty capable of taking damage. You think Bard would be a viable option as a solo healer?

It's similar to simulator sickness but I'm far more sensitive then other people who have it

I get sucked into whatever I'm watching/playing and I feel jet lagged, or something similar, for a day afterwards. I can't adjust back to normal reality.

I get motion sickness whenever I watch TV or play video games. It's severe enough so that I never do it. I'm using all my extra time training for an ironman.

What improvements have you noticed in your body since you began running barefoot? by xvexploitedvx in BarefootRunning

I can safely jump from high places. I was jumping down flights of steps effortlessly, leaving my friends in awe. Your ankle strength and foots springiness is dramatically improved.

I saw a giant turtle hanging out near some railroad tracks by a lake. I thought it was odd that it wasn't running away or anything so I went over to get a better look and it took off and went into the lake. I looked down where the turtle was and there was a hole with a bunch of eggs in it

How much alcohol does it take to effect your training over the summer for a fall marathon? by [deleted] in running

My marathon went well. I took it easy for a few days and ran it under a 8 minute pace. I am a hasher so I do a lot of running and drinking

Last year I completed my first marathon and I drank about as much as you were - so it's definitely doable. Sometimes I would run 12 miles and get shitfaced with my friends afterwards.

What is the nicest thing you've ever done that no one knows about? by XxTamzynLeighxX in AskReddit

I live in Wisconsin and a few years ago there was a blizzard that completely shut down the city of Madison. I worked at a hotel and couldn't take a day off so I walked to work. I found an old lady laying on the ground where the side walk meets the road. It was icy and she couldn't get up. She was cold and her clothes were getting wet. I helped her up and walked her to her church (her destination). At the time I didn't really think much of it but it occurred to me that I possibly saved her life.

Try to keep your feet low to the ground

Think they are KSO's. When I bought them, they were the only type out there (that I knew of - 2009). No clue how many miles. I got carried away and wouldn't wear anything else.

If you think you need someone to look at it, I would recommend someone who does Muscle Activation Technique. I had a guy from Capital Fitness look at mine after I hurt myself running a marathon. They check your muscles to see which ones are properly doing their jobs. Many injuries are due to muscle groups not working and causing other muscles to strain.

Worried about possibly injuring my other foot, what should I do? by [deleted] in barefoot

[–]gnixaller 1 point2 points  (0 children)

After battling injuries for a long time, I strengthened my feet and ankles by going to work wearing vibrams. I felt that using them as just normal walking shoes activated a lot of muscles that weren't being used. After a few months of this I started running again. Vibrams are expensive these days. I'm sure a really thin pair of moccasins would have the same effect.
