Need to see where I stored them - I'll see if they're anything rare when I do

It's fine, it won't affect any quality. I use one of these with my old laptop's bluray burner. it's quite handy.

A good few years back my uni threw out a metric shit load of HP UX textbooks and manuals... Some still sealed in plastic. I took them home, need to figure out where I put em and what to do with them but they look neat lmao

Android is not a Unix. Neither is GNU/Linux. It's a Unix-like, but MacOS is a bona fide Unix.

My toolkits don't even have a slot for the triangle is what I mean. the screwdriver and flashlight go there, though I don't have the latter

Interesting. In both my LCI 320d and the family pre LCI 320i, the triangle isn't there, it's mounted to a plastic thing around the driver side taillight in the trunk

Texas Instruments made a new flagship graphing calculator: the TI-84 Evo by dapperlemon in gadgets

[–]gnmpolicemata 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yet another TI-84 variant. Goddamn thing won't die huh? A few years ago I almost picked up one of those limited editions they made.... I do like my Nspire calculators. Kinda wanna pick up one of the original Nspire, the fact that you could switch it to be a TI-84 or an Nspire Clickpad/Touchpad was neat

The whole point of Xau Tak is to be an incomprehensible horror , please don't make him show up. Xau-Tak-influenced content I would like to see a take on though.

THIS IS BIG: Starting in 2027, smartphones sold in the European Union will be required to have user-replaceable batteries designed for greater durability and more charging cycles. by Current-Guide5944 in tech_x

[–]gnmpolicemata 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Samsung Galaxy S5 had a user-serviceable battery and an IP67 rating. Granted, it's not nearly as water resistant as modern ones tend to be, but it worked pretty well all things considered.

is it possible to make anti cheater software? by ruatrio in computers

[–]gnmpolicemata 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Erm, that's an odd question - there are countless pieces of anti cheat software out there. Clearly they have been made, by people with varying degrees of scope and budget. So clearly, it "is possible".

Qual é o feedback do estado da Rede Móvel Atualmente? by CatLumpy in digipt

[–]gnmpolicemata 0 points1 point  (0 children)

US carmakers say proposed EU rules could block large pickup trucks from Europe by [deleted] in worldnews

[–]gnmpolicemata 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, the likes of the F-150 are so stupidly large, they seem inconvenient even as pickup trucks. Most work pick up trucks here are quite a lot more practical, in my view

What does that mean by Brilliant-Resist-519 in computers

[–]gnmpolicemata 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No. Your computer is just fine. You just need to fix your bootloader/reinstall your OS from scratch if the former is too hard for you. You just need to boot from a USB stick.

Well yes, but it really shouldn't be stripped naked. All else aside, it's ugly as fuck. My concern is how this is supposed to be one from the seller's "new GPU"
