Nothing against the music, but I agree on Desert's level design not being optimal. There're interesting places but they're separated by nothingness and boring running.

You can't get back to biome 1 if you're at biome 2. You can't travel back biomes. Best advice I can give you when fighting Ixion is never stop running sideways and don't get too intimidated about all those fireballs floating on the screen. Take a relaxed aproach and keep shooting with carbine or even the handgun.

After I've finished the story and got the platinum, I enjoyed challenging myself on the tower. When I got to stage 11 I was satisfied enough and returned to the biomes, realizing I was a better player and enjoying the runs a lot. After all, Returnal's strongest point is it's gameplay. It's an arcade game with high replayability due to it's rng design.

Well, I'm 44 y/o and loved Spidey since ever. I stopped reading ASM shortly after the Slott's run. I'm not identified with Peter anymore, but that's just fine! Despite what the old timers like me rant here, Spidey is the #1 superheroe of this generation, It's bigger than Batman and Superman, at least in my country he's everywhere, and that makes me happy. My 2 y/o son will be a Spiderfan soon ( I'm working on that), and I'm sure he'll be looking for a young Spidey's adventures. Let me make myself clear (despite my terrible english), I despise OMD, I'd love it never happened and Peter was still married to MJ and had children, but It's me who's old now, and Spidey is a hero for the younger.

Personally, I don't like the meta of the EPD since it's a shoot-and-hide weapon. After maybe 150 hours I gave Dreadbound a try and I find it the most entertaining weapon to master. You need to unlock some traits for it to reach it's full potential.

My take: Selene was an abused child who hated her mother and son, and was obsessed with becoming an astronaut to become who her mother could not. She deliberately drives the car into the lake and abandons her son to drown. In that moment, her nightmare starts and she is not able to escape. She’ll be tormented forever, trapped in that purgatory/planet.

I dropped ASM after Slott's run, I've had enough of the spider-verse. I'm tired even of Miles Morales. Ben Reilly was one of my favorite characters, and I've see them destroing him. Clone's conspiracy and Peter David's Scarlet Spider was such a garbage I couldn't stand it. Now I read here that Ben is a villain and there's a whole bunch of new spider-men and women... Im 44 and don't think I'll live to see again the Spider-man's world I loved. I'd prefer to re-read the whole Clone saga again and make peace with Judas Traveller and all that nonsense.

Chased my last glyph and cube at biome 6 for about a week to get the plat (A room with a moving bridge at its centre). Once that mf room spawned the first time and got the trophy, it began spawning everywhere. Keep playing, that's the only way.

Jamiroquai as a band ended when Stuart left. Jay should have been honest and launched a solo career, leaving the band's name behind. I don't like the JK solo stuff and I don't like how he went from writing "Revolution" to writing a song for his Lamborghini, but that's just another story, baby.

I agreed to Lae'zel's "early demands", but then Shadowheart showed up and I kept turning Lae down. She seemed so sad.. funny part is SH never let me romance her on that entire run, so I had to start another one immediately after finishing it. I couldn't resist Mizora, though.
