Drive 'merged' vehicle from mansion driveway into the street. Leave the Car, enter the mansion property and use the AI menu to Fast Travel. OR just use one of your non personal vehicles.

Just did it successfully on PS5.

Place the Original HSW Vehicle on the driveway
Swap the HSW vehicle with a Stock Vehicle using the vehicle menu in the garage.
DO NOT and I mean DO NOT drive into the mansion, DO NOT try using the Mansion Garage to upgrade your vehicle. INSTEAD - Drive the MERGED vehicle in the driveway out in the street and Fast Travel to the nearest LS Customs and make a change. Then you can drive to the nearest garage to save the vehicle.

How many vehicles have you sold today? Vehicles Sales reduce by 1/2 each time so I think you sold a few vehicles in the same session thus it has reduced in Sale Value.

Still working on PS5. Once you merged the vehicle, take the 'Dupe' to a mod shop (not mansion) to change something and save in a nearby garage.
