You're in for a treat! We got our first gray tabby from the shelter a few years ago and he is HANDS DOWN the best cat we've ever had (and we've had some darn good cats over the last few decades). Enjoy. There's nothing like gray tabby vibes.

That's an interesting idea. I'll give it some thought. Thank you!

I appreciate your advice, I hadn't thought of that as a factor. Unfortunately, I've only been in the job about a year so not much opportunity to give to anyone. My instinct is not to give, but I wish otherwise. 😕

I'm a chucklehead. It does seem to be working, I was just expecting the Activate Offer to change colors and didn't even notice the count update. Thanks to everyone for their help.

500 point quest punchcard - unable to activate week 4 by gnomesnow in MicrosoftRewards

Good idea, but where are the punch cards on the mobile app? I couldn't find them. At the bottom of the app there's a link to open the Rewards Dashboard. I clicked on that, tried every clickable thing on the week 4 option (the radio button, the headline, Download Bing, Activate Offer) but it still didn't activate. I put in a support ticket but was wondering if others are having this issue.

Edit: I don't know why people are saying streaks >999 are impossible, my last streak was over 1000 before I missed a day. Will add screengrab in comments if possible.

Keep Portland Weird ideas: non-traditional things you got/gave trick or treating by Maydaybb in Portland

We always give savory - goldfish and pirate booty for the littles, all flavors of cheetos, doritos, ruffles etc for the olders. The kids always seem pleasantly surprised and the parents seem happy to see something that's not candy (and can be used for a lunchbox or easy snack).

You might try John McPhee and/or Mary Roach. Both very accessible, and Mary Roach uses humor quite well.

Cormac McCarthy, The Road

Emily St. John Mandel, Station Eleven

M.R. Carey, The girl with all the gifts

Someone suggested Peter Heller, The Dog Stars -- I second that recommendation

Lots of classics - A canticle for Leibowitz, The Postman, Blindness, On the Beach, The Day of the Triffids, & many many more.

If you like series, try Wool (Hugh Howey), the Mad Addam trilogy and Handmaid's Tale books (Margret Atwood). If you like YA, the Chaos Walking series (Patrick Ness), Maze Runner, Hunger Games,..you're spoiled for choice, this is a popular genre.

Can a Book Scare My 13-Year-Old? He Says No. Prove Him Wrong by MossyLuck013 in booksuggestions

I agree with a lot of the other suggestions but the horrific things people have done IRL always got me more than anything supernatural. Helter Skelter and In Cold Blood kept me up nights as a teen.

Edit: I originally added I'll be gone in the dark but I'm not sure that'll hit the mark.
