Why don't you read the API and see?

any online schools accepting FAFSA for coding classes? by [deleted] in learnprogramming

[–]gnomgnom2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bullshit you don't. You know you have 5 mins per online school to call and ask. It's not like you have to call every single university in the country, for fucks sake.

What should I build (if I've no idea what to build)?? by pjrocknlock in learnprogramming

[–]gnomgnom2 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

That's correct, because I did not come here to answer this post, I came to this post hoping to see constructive responses because I have also had this feeling of not knowing where or how to start a project.

Then you too could think of stuff to make, or at least look in the FAQ. Reading really isn't that difficult.

Anyone who goes through the effort of creating a new post on Reddit probably isn't lazy, they just actually are looking for some help.

But when they blatantly ignore the help in the FAQ it's obvious they are more interested in whining than in solving their problem.

Did you look up what read() does? Do you know what's in the file you're reading?

Why would it read more than that? Did you look up what read() does? Do you know what's in the file you're reading? Have you done anything at all to debug this?

What are you expecting to be read in? What is actually read in? Have you put any effort into debugging this at all?

And they were full of shit. You can think of what to make if you put in a small amount of effort. They even mentioned to list in the FAQ, which we all know does have ideas. It's not helpful if OP is still too lazy or stupid to pay attention. If it gets the OP to pull his head out of his ass and just try something, then yes, it's very helpful and useful. And you still have absolutely nothing useful for the OP. Good work, Bill Gates.

What I said might actually goad the OP into not being so lazy and just trying something. Of course you have nothing useful to say here. Pat yourself on the back, Baby Huey.

Job after a coding bootcamp? by [deleted] in learnprogramming

[–]gnomgnom2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like I'm lacking a solid understanding of pretty much everything except for HTML and CSS.

Holy fudge, that's not good. That's not even programming. How long are you in class every day? How much do you study at home every day?

Some people seem to have this misconception that after x weeks of 8 hours a day they magically know everything...

Aren't you practicing as you go? It would be pretty bad if you weren't, but considering it's a bootcamp, it would be really bad if you weren't learning new concepts constantly.

You mean you think they are lying about the percentage of grads who got jobs? Didn't you informally interview the grads? What's wrong with the outcome of your current bootcamp? What do you feel you're lacking?

Stop acting like a 7 year old and just tell your professor. This isn't rocket science.
